Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to Team Leaders and production associates.
Foster a positive, inclusive culture aligned with company values and HR policies.
Deliver clear expectations and ongoing feedback to strengthen performance and engagement.
Manage staffing, including shift coverage, absenteeism planning, and internal postings.
Drive Operational Excellence
Own area performance metrics across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale.
Align team goals with broader value stream objectives and communicate progress effectively.
Oversee daily production start-up, line staffing, and shift handoffs to ensure seamless operations.
Utilize production boards and performance data to identify issues and drive resolution.
Champion Lean & Continuous Improvement
Ensure standardized work is deployed, followed, and continuously improved.
Coach teams on Job Instruction methods, cross-training, and skills development.
Lead root cause analysis and aggressive problem-solving to eliminate inefficiencies.
Monitor scrap trends and partner with Quality and Engineering to improve First Pass Yield and reduce Service Call Rates.
Support cross-functional initiatives to reduce waste and improve both short- and long-term performance.
Promote a Strong Safety Culture
Lead by example in safety compliance and safe work practices.
Conduct and close accident investigations within required timelines.
Drive accountability for PPE compliance, safety contacts, and safe start participation.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related OR 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing (i.e., manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, materials, quality, procurement, fulfillment or related functional area)
Position supports 24/5 manufacturing facilities. Occasional off shift, on call and weekend work is required.
Experience in manufacturing processes with exposure to lean manufacturing techniques, or equivalent education and experience.
Six Sigma certification preferred, with strong knowledge of Lean, DMAIC, workout and other change mechanisms.
Demonstrated accomplishments showing results-driven methodology, analytical methods, schedule achievement, teamwork.
Demonstrated experience working with individuals at all levels of the organization to achieve operational results and positive employee relations.
Organizational skills, initiative, and ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
Must be competent in computers, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and ERP systems.
Work Environment:
Working conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environment.
Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 pounds.
Working in the manufacturing environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, work shoes/boots.
