Position Overview

Insulet is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Engineering to lead a high-performing team of 6–8 engineers at our Acton Plant. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, sustaining automation equipment, and supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities for Class II Medical Devices.

You’ll own key KPIs for equipment uptime, process yield, and efficiency, while spearheading continuous improvement initiatives and managing strategic projects. If you thrive in a fast-paced, regulated environment and have a passion for leadership and innovation, we want to hear from you!

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers focused on automation equipment performance.

  • Drive product and process improvements aligned with Insulet’s core objectives: Best Quality, Highest Efficiency, Superior Customer Service, Lowest Cost.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with cGMP and FDA regulations.

  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.

  • Monitor and report on yield and equipment uptime; lead efforts to achieve or exceed KPI targets.

  • Performs other duties as required

Education and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 10+ years in a regulated industry with at least 1+ year(s) of experience managing people.

  • OR M.S. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Engineering Management (or equivalent) with 8+ years’ experience with at least 1+ year(s) of experience managing people.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel and data analysis (Minitab/JMP)

  • SolidWorks expertise and strong drafting skills

  • Hands-on troubleshooting of semi- and fully automated equipment

  • Strong command of structured problem-solving methodologies

  • Excellent project management and communication skills

  • The position is in-person at our Acton, MA location

  • Travel up to 10% (Domestic & International)

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $122,600.00 - $183,950.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
