KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Relationship Development and Support: Responsible for the relationship development and support of the Life Partnership Channel – Prudential Malaysia. Deliver the Eastspring Wealth/ Prudential Wealth & Investment-Linked Products (ILPs) proposition and solutions to the client to support profitable growth of AUM. Adapt the Regional Life Partnership Strategy to local needs.

  • Relationship Management: Manage the overall coordination of the relationship with Prudential Malaysia for both General Account (Life Funds) and ILPs.

  • Standardize Internal Fee Share Arrangements: Assist in the optimization and standardization of fee-sharing arrangements, reporting, client support, etc.

  • Curate 3rd Party Asset Management Companies’ Products: Fully optimize the Life Partnership channel, including analysis and adjustment of fee-sharing structures with third party asset managers, development of creative strategies, partner analysis and support (ILPs), and market and competitor analysis.

  • Collaborate on Investment-Linked Product Development: Work closely with our Prudential client to design and develop ILP products that meet evolving market demands, such as retirement products.

  • Provide ILP Support: Assist in overseeing the ILP support for Prudential Malaysia, including sales and marketing materials, and the launch and rollout of affiliate programs/campaigns.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant experience in supporting institutional client relationships or in a client portfolio manager role, either at an asset manager or a top-tier bank.

  • Good knowledge of the asset management industry, insurance industry, and the operating business model of an asset manager is highly desirable.

  • Licensed with the local regulator.

  • Understanding of financial products and the funds management industry.

  • Good presentation skill.

  • Good business-level communication skills, both written and verbal, including report writing.

  • Good time management and prioritization skills.

  • Good project management skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail, including delivering reports and documentation to a very high standard.

  • Comfortable interacting with external and internal stakeholders, including senior management, consultants, service providers, investment, and sales teams, in a multicultural environment.

  • Strong team player, but also able to work autonomously on projects and deliverables of varying seniority.

  • Independent and resourceful; a self-starter.
