This role is part of Alcon's Legal & Compliance function, a team that safeguards our company and our innovations to ensure our business is protected and our customers can access our eyecare innovations to see brilliantly.
The Manager, Legal & Compliance (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for overseeing legal and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations, and supporting risk assessments. You will work with business leaders to resolve legal issues and mitigate compliance risks, managing projects to enhance performance and efficiency. Specifics include:
• Assist in identifying and evaluating legal and compliance risks across business operations
• Draft and review legal contracts, policies, and agreements for legal soundness and compliance
• Monitor changes to laws and regulations affecting business operations
• Support the legal department in handling disputes, litigation, and regulatory inquiries
• Ensure adherence to compliance regulations and industry codes
• Provide legal advice and guidance on corporate governance, ethics, and business practices, collaborating with external counsel on legal matters as necessary
