General Summary:

The Manager of Learning and Development is responsible for leading a team of entry level to experienced professionals focused on designing and delivering information about ConnectWise suite of products using multiple media platforms, primarily through a custom Content Management Systems (CMS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS). This role supports the Education teams in both administrative and technical aspects of CMS by creating curriculum, deploying, and maintaining learning content.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Sets goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results
  • Supervises support and/or professional level colleagues
  • Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders
  • Leads and prioritizes the daily activities of the team
  • Manages, mentors, and coaches to develop a collaborative and dynamic team
  • Coordinates cross-functional communication to align on initiatives and strategies to drive efficiency
  • Manages University content for ConnectWise suite of products in accordance with organizational policies and goals
  • Assures that all courseware (how to videos, courses, blueprints, recorded webinars, etc.) are updated to support product releases
  • Oversees all operational aspects of LMS
  • Ensures all necessary internal process documentation is organized and functional for corresponding colleagues
  • Supervises, onboards, and develops training for the University team and establishes career growth opportunities
  • Ensures that University eLearning materials are aligned to company strategies and initiatives
  • Ensures the continued use of appropriate technology to create and maintain effective, timely end-user instructional content for partners and colleagues
  • Participates in occasional content definition and creation of partner-facing training
  • Assists other departments with defining and creating eLearning content and materials for partners or colleagues
  • Ensures that web-content meets established guidelines and organizational goal.

  •  Basic knowledge of CSS/HTML
  • Understanding of search, SEO, and designing with web standards
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to resolve, or coordinate the resolution, of complex problems in a flexible and logical manner
  • Knowledge of learning and development best practices and instructional learning methodologies
  • Strong knowledge and skills in graphic and multimedia design, production, and content authoring tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, or Articulate
  • Ability to work constructively and independently under stress and pressure in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent business experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience
  • 2+ years of managerial experience.
  • Experience using CMS, Documentation Management System, LMS, and/or responsive web design
  • Experience with learning technologies like Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, or Lectora
  • Experience in instructional design
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in related field

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
  • 0-10% travel may be required.
