Job Summary

Position is responsible for managing large, complex projects in support of IT business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Licenses/Certifications: Project management certification preferred

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

  • Seven (7) years experience in information systems

  • Five (5) years of project management experience, including projects of at least 9 months duration and $1 million budget

  • Demonstrated pattern of growth in ability to lead others

  • Strong planning and organizational skills

  • Record of consistent, effective use of project management methodology

  • Demonstrated record of effective communication with project sponsors, ISD management, and project team members

  • Demonstrated positive relationships with customers

  • Demonstrated record of bringing large projects to successful conclusion

Principal Accountabilities

  • Provides leadership to large, complex projects.

  • Manages activities, staff, technical, financial, and administrative resources of a project.

  • Bears responsibility for project success.

  • Provides leadership and mentoring to Project Managers and Senior Project Managers.

  • Assists in developing on-going training for Project Managers.

  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.

  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

  • Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Models Memorial Hermann’s service standards by providing safe, caring, personalized and efficient experiences to patients and colleagues.
