Manager, Lead Product Consultant - Digital Issuing
Overview
The Manager, Lead Product Consultant - Digital Issuing is responsible for owning and managing portfolio of digital issuing product within Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Island market, driving commercial adoption, customer value creation, and market differentiation.
The role combines product ownership, solution expertise, and sales enablement, acting as a key contributor to regional go to market execution. The Digital Issuing Manager partners closely with Customer Solution Centre, product, and technology teams to deliver client centric digital issuing solutions, support pipeline execution, and feed market intelligence into ongoing product innovation.
This role serves as a trusted solution expert for customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring Mastercard’s digital issuing capabilities are positioned, sold, and delivered in a way that meets local market needs and competitive dynamics.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Own and manage a defined digital issuing product or solution across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands
• Execute regional product sales strategies and support sales pipeline progression across the market
• Develop and deliver client specific digital issuing solutions that drive customer and business value
• Act as a subject matter expert for digital issuing capabilities, platforms, and services within the region
• Support pre sales activities including client presentations, demonstrations, and solution workshops
• Partner with CSC and solution experts to build strong, locally relevant value propositions
• Work directly with clients across the region to address solution focused needs and routine product issues
• Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity within ANZ & Pacific Islands
• Compile competitive insights and support pricing and positioning for assigned solutions
• Identify new business opportunities, clients, and product or innovation ideas in the regional market
• Share best practices and market insights with internal teams to improve regional solutioning and execution
All about you
• Strong payments or technology expertise in financial services
• Strong interest and passion for digital payments, card issuing, banking, financial services, and e commerce
• Solid understanding of the digital payments ecosystem, including card programs, issuing models, tokenisation, virtual cards, wallets, APIs, and platform based solutions
• Demonstrable experience with card programs, with issuing experience a strong advantage
• Good awareness of competitive offerings, industry trends, and emerging payment technologies
• Understanding of the Australian payments regulatory environment and its impact on solution design and delivery
• Experience engaging enterprise clients, supporting solution based conversations, and linking product capabilities to product sales
• Strong analytical and product development skills, with a demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes
• Commercially minded, with the ability to create and clearly communicate solutions that meet real customer needs
• Confident using business tools such as Excel and PowerPoint to support analysis, storytelling, and decision making
• Proven ability to build rapport and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across sales, product, and technology
• Ability to undertake business travel (10%)
