Job Description

About the role

The IT Application Delivery Manager is responsible for leading a team to deliver new functionality of Supply Chain applications across business groups while ensuring improvements to existing systems

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Ensure the application portfolio operates matching the business operational schedules 
  • Meet agreed SLA’s for all application areas 
  • Support the implementation of the Logistics and Planning applications 
  • Resource Capacity planning including communication of constraints, alternative resource options, priorities and expected delivery dates of developments to business and Demand Managers / Business Relationship Managers 
  • Manage any Supply Chain escalations within area of responsibility  
  • Oversee third party service providers, when required. 
  • Participate in developing standard logistics and planning practices across the business. Ensure a high level of simplification and convergence across the different Supply Chain) templates. 
  • Build stakeholder networks to ensure that the Supply Chain organisation is recognized as strategic business partner. Software release management including developments and patches 
  • Participate in strategic applications long and short-term strategy development 
  • Lead, mentor, and manage staff to optimize performance through clear and effective communication to create a positive team environment.   
  • Assess technical skills, identify training needs and opportunities, and ensure that required materials and tools are available for direct reports to perform their job responsibilities. 
  • Responsible for ensuring the delivery of projects and change within the relevant application area modules.  Actively communicating project status/ issues and ensure that business needs are understood and met. 
  • Collaborate with the IT demand managers. 
  • Create estimates for future projects and define capacity needs 
  • Enforce policies and procedures to continuously improve the delivery of the Supply Chain solutions and to be compliant with agreed policies such as SOX 
  • Managing and drive the (Logistics and Planning) release process. 
  • Management of metrics related to projects, application development and incident resolution 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience 
  • 7+ years’ experience in IT or equivalent with supervisory, project management, consulting, and business process reengineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Fluent English. Other languages helpful but not required 
  • Experienced in international / Regional Supply Chain projects, preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of the systems development life cycle.(SDLC) 
  • Business process understanding  
  • Ability to think strategically 
  • Relationship building with all levels of stakeholders 
  • Effective problem-solving skills 
  • Effective team builder  
  • Written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues with both technical and non-technical people 
  • Detail oriented, able to think ‘big picture’ and understand the levers that impact a business. 
  • Ability to handle a high degree of ambiguity and a fast-paced environment where priorities frequently change 
  • Accountable for delivering projects on time 
  • Effective organisational and interpersonal skills. 
  • Role requires up to 20% travel, predominantly within North America
