Overall Job Purpose
To lead and oversee SFTR (Securities Financing Transactions Regulation ) transaction reporting within the Regulatory Reporting team, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting. The role supports regulatory change initiatives, strengthens internal controls, and contributes to broader transaction reporting obligations across MiFID, EMIR, and other regimes, while driving continuous process improvement and data integrity.
The Transaction reporting Manager will act as a key person on the SFTR (Securities Financing Transactions Regulation) in the required BAU activities and reviewing / overseeing daily tasks undertaken by the wider team’s Analysts. They will work closely with members of the wider Transaction Reporting and Change team to ensure the impact of business and Regulatory change is managed effectively and internal controls and processes are aligned to new requirements.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance & Reporting
Ensure accurate and timely submission of SFTR transaction reports, with future scope to support MiFID, EMIR, and other regulatory regimes.
Team & Stakeholder Collaboration
Support Managers in achieving team objectives, contribute to business-wide initiatives, and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and third-party vendors.
Risk & Control Management
Identify and mitigate operational risks through effective processes, controls, and use of technology.
Process Improvement & Change Support
Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and controls; support remediation efforts and regulatory/business-led change initiatives.
Data Analysis & MI Reporting
Conduct reconciliations, manage back-reporting exercises, and contribute to the preparation of management information and KPIs.
Technical & Analytical Expertise
Apply strong technical skills and attention to detail in a data-driven environment, ensuring high standards of accuracy and compliance.
Professional Attributes
Demonstrate flexibility, strong communication, time management, and a proactive approach to learning and task ownership.
Experience:
4 to 6 years of overall experience with minimum of 3 years in Transaction Reporting side of Regulatory Reporting
In-depth knowledge of SFTR Transaction Reporting is essential
knowledge of global regulations (EMIR, SFTR, MiFID & MAS ) is advantageous.
Experienced in using S&P Global and Pirum for regulatory reporting and data enrichment, and DTCC for trade reporting, reconciliation, and exception handling
Familiarity with Positional Reporting and other regulatory frameworks is advantageous
Strong understanding of Investment Management activities and related operational processes
High level of literacy and numeracy, proficient in Excel, Word, and data analysis tools such as Power BI Systems & Tools
Exposure to platforms used for data processing and reconciliation (e.g., Kaizen)
Ability to adapt to evolving regulatory and business requirements
Educational Qualification:
Graduate in any discipline.
Masters in Finance / Economics / Any Certification like FRM / CFA will be a plus
