A Day in the Life: 

The Manager Inventory is responsible for the efficient and effective operation of assets used to process and ship grain, oilseed, and pulse crops. It also oversees the cost‑effective management of fixed and mobile assets, including project and program evaluation, planning, and technical support.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide guidance and direction to Sr Manager Grains, Regional Operations Managers, Facility Operations Managers, and Commercial teams regarding facility assets and inventory concerns.

  • Monitor facility efficiency and collaborate with operations, automation, and maintenance teams to ensure all assets are utilized to their maximum capacity.

  • Work closely with Health & Safety to develop, implement, and support proactive health, safety, and security programs.

  • Manage book‑vs‑physical reports, drying reports, and inventory audits to maximize blending revenues; report all areas of concern to the Director and/or VP of Operations.

  • Participate in and provide feedback on country capital projects.

  • Lead the development and implementation of grain and quality control strategies and systems.

  • Direct and implement the grain inventory audit program.

  • In conjunction with Terminal Accounting and Quality Control, oversee the Rail Monitoring Process to ensure shipment quality and quantity are accurately assessed.

  • Work with Sr Manager Grains, Regional Operations Managers, and Facility Operations Managers to ensure grain inventories—along with quality and quantity—are effectively managed to meet commercial sales commitments and end‑use customer requirements.

  • Develop strategies to integrate all asset protection, asset utilization, and quality‑focused programs.

  • Create and/or implement practices, policies, and procedures to ensure operations comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards.

  • Oversee all aspects of the team’s human resources responsibilities, including hiring, promotions, performance management, and terminations in accordance with company policy.

  • Lead, coach, and manage the team to ensure excellence, accountability, and alignment with departmental and organizational goals.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies, industry officials, Commercial teams, and Transportation.

  • Analyze reports on country inventories and weight variances.

  • Review business practices and results to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement through the integration of innovative processes.

Skills/Experience Requirements: 

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible managerial experience in facility operations, supplemented by coursework in supervision, management, or administration.

  • Post‑secondary degree in a related discipline.

  • Experience with scheduling and control systems is an asset; experience with inventory management software is also an asset.

  • Ability to use knowledge of Bunge’s business, structure, and strategy to develop innovative solutions that improve results or resolve issues.

  • Proven ability to build partnerships, influence stakeholders effectively, foster talent, and coach others for current and future roles.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive strong results through high standards, prioritization, organization, and preparing teams for change.
