Position Overview

The Conference Communications Manager will drive communications projects to enhance internal conference engagement and education across Gartner’s BTI Sales and Global Services & Delivery teams. This role collaborates closely with Conference, Service & Delivery, and Sales teams, as well as communications partners throughout Gartner, to develop impactful resources and communications for frontline associates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with C-level Communities, Sales, and Services stakeholders to develop and execute timely, informative communications that drive associate education and engagement.
  • Manage and optimize processes for drafting and distributing key conference announcements and updates.
  • Project manage the evolution of C-level Communities’ Inside Gartner pages and communication strategy, leveraging best practices from Destination Conferences.
  • Oversee and maintain the internal intranet (Inside Gartner) pages, ensuring content is accurate and up to date.
  • Support ongoing training and development initiatives for Sales and Services teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create, execute, and publish communication deliverables that enhance associates’ understanding of the conferences business, tools, and systems.
  • Propose and implement innovative communication strategies to effectively reach Sales and Services teams.
  • Develop and manage a tactical communications calendar, incorporating quarterly business updates, new initiatives, and ongoing priorities. Ensure the calendar:
  • Prioritizes and simplifies content for targeted delivery.
  • Provides associates with easy access to essential tools and resources.
  • Communicates new initiatives impacting business functionality.
  • Delivers clear, concise information for ongoing activities.

Review and refine newsletter and email communications for teams on an ongoing basis. Produce compelling content that:

  • Increases awareness of tools, resources, and information.
  • Drives understanding, alignment, and participation in major initiatives.
  • Utilizes storytelling and creative visuals to highlight examples of associates exemplifying Gartner’s culture.

Support the Destination Conference Communications Manager as needed, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of both conference offerings.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in Project Management, Communications, Administration or Customer Service in a complex organization. Design skills would be a plus
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to learn and understand key information around conferences and identify and drive necessary communications
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and plan work activities in a dynamic work environment
  • Strategic Thinker - Self-motivated, collaborative and solution oriented
  • Strong Executive presence and ability to communicate clearly and effectively to business leaders
  • Proven ability to work on a cross-functional team
  • Experience with graphic design or visual communications (e.g., creating presentations, infographics, or digital assets)
  • Experience of working in a complex multi-layered corporate environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Client focused - superior customer service skills
  • Comfortable with complexity and drive to make things simpler
  • Excellent written communication skills – able to translate complex information into impactful messages
  • Strong oral communication skills; demonstrated ability to speak clearly and persuasively
  • Consistent demonstration of integrity, collaboration, no-limits mindset, objectivity, and delivering results consistently
  • Openness to travel (around 10% on an annual basis) and a desire to work with a global team

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 70,000 USD - 104,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
