The Intelligence department is seeking a mid-senior level Manager to join the team responsible for championing a data-driven, holistic approach to marketing client productions, with a focus on sales and ticketing. The Manager will oversee ticketing and sales strategy, audience insights, and integrated data analysis across client productions. This is a full-time, regular, benefits-eligible position.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ticketing & Sales Strategy:
- Lead and support sales analysis for clients, making data-driven, strategic recommendations on revenue management, pricing models, programming and distribution against goals and projections.
- Effectively use data to tell a story through clear, effective reporting and/or presentations, translating complex data into clear, actionable strategies. Create and distribute daily and weekly reporting as needed.
- Liaise with industry ticketing and box-office partners to implement strategies and programming across multiple ticketing systems.
- Create, submit, and revise ticket programming to support all aspects of inventory management (dynamic and variable pricing adjustments, performance scheduling, special promotions, distribution management, group sales, etc.) as needed.
- Audience Insights:
- Align sales data, audience data, and market research to identify and anticipate trends, including growth opportunities and audience development opportunities for clients.
- Leverage proprietary first-party behavioral data to inform new business strategies and audience segmentation for clients.
- Create and manage post-trip surveys, other quantitative surveys, or qualitative research studies as needed.
- Integrated Analysis:
- Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to make integrated recommendations across sales, traditional media, digital media, marketing partnerships, social media, and more.
- Create and implement a framework to integrate client metrics across agency teams, using data to influence decision making.
- Contextualize sales performance using client data, agency data, and external data sources.
- Agency Resource (15%):
- Assist in maintaining agency-wide and industry-wide databases as needed.
- Cultivate a deep understanding of the Broadway and entertainment industries, seasonal variables, and the competitive landscape to be a resource for both clients and agency teams as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant, data-driven role.
- Experience with ticketing and/or sales strategy within the live entertainment industry required. Specific experience with ticketing systems regularly used on and off-Broadway (STAR/Telecharge, Broadway Direct, Tessitura, AudienceView) a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required (Macros & VBA, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, PivotTables, charting, etc.). Experience with other data analysis or business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) a plus.
- Proficiency with reporting and working with large data sets required.
- Strong mathematical skills, analytical skills, and financial acumen required.
- Ability to be available evenings and/or weekends required.
- Proficiency with marketing or advertising, including media planning and digital media metrics, a plus.
- Proficiency with qualitative and/or quantitative research a plus.
- Meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills required.
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly and effectively across disciplines and departments required.
- This is a client-facing role: excellent communication skills (written, in-person, and presenting to large groups) are required.
