Manager – Travel, Meetings & Events will lead the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of corporate travel and meetings programs across the organization. This role ensures compliance with pharma industry regulations, drives cost efficiencies, and enhances traveler and attendee experience through innovative solutions and technology adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
· Travel Program Management:
o Oversee air, hotel, ground transportation, and related services for employees and healthcare professionals (HCPs).
o Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., Sunshine Act, GDPR, local pharma codes).
· Meetings & Events Management:
o Lead planning and execution of internal and external events, including cycle meets, congresses, HCP engagements, product launches, and leadership summits, international conferences & award functions
o Manage hybrid and virtual event platforms for cost-effective and compliant solutions.
· Vendor & Cost Optimization:
o Negotiate contracts with airlines, hotels, and MICE agencies to achieve savings and service excellence.
o Conduct RFPs and manage strategic supplier relationships globally and regionally.
· Technology & Digital Transformation:
o Implement and optimize Online Booking Tools (OBT), expense management systems, and event technology platforms.
o Leverage data analytics for reporting, compliance tracking, and decision-making.
· Risk & Duty of Care:
o Develop protocols for traveler safety, crisis management, and business continuity.
o Ensure 100% compliance with duty-of-care standards.
· Stakeholder Engagement:
o Collaborate with Procurement, Compliance, Medical Affairs, and Marketing teams.
o Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on travel and meetings strategy.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Hospitality, or related field).
· 10+ years of experience in corporate travel, meetings, and events management; pharma industry experience preferred.
· Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance for HCP engagements.
· Expertise in SAP Concur, Cvent, or similar platforms.
· Proven track record in vendor negotiations and cost optimization.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to manage multi-million-dollar budgets and large-scale events.
