Support Center - Irving
The Manager - In-Store Marketing is responsible for the strategy, execution, and ongoing management of in-store marketing communications, signage, and environmental creative. This role serves as the channel owner for in-store signage and audio, manages ad sign production and resources, leads cross-functional partnerships, and provides creative and 3D design leadership to support store-level execution.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Management
- Oversees all sign and environmental creative projects for the In-Store Marketing team.
- Manages creative timelines in alignment with daily production and ad sign demands.
- Provides creative direction and feedback across all projects and leads bi-weekly creative review meetings.
- Partners with Traffic and Sign Procurement to establish print and production timelines.
- Leads project kickoff meetings with cross-functional partners.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Manages and supports in-house specialists and offshore partners.
- Sets priorities, allocates workload, and ensures on-time delivery.
- Provides ongoing coaching, creative feedback, and performance guidance.
- Partners cross-functionally with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Operations, IT, Traffic, Procurement, and external vendors.
- Works within budget constraints and helps implement sustainable design solutions.
Store Environment Design
- Serves as the primary 3D designer for in-store environments.
- Develops 3D concepts and models for communicating signage and branding.
- Creates, maintains, and governs the 3D asset library.
- Provides Cinema 4D technical support and troubleshooting for the design team.
- Leads monthly 3D training sessions to improve team capability and efficiency.
In-Store Marketing and Communications Direction
- Manages portions of MIK Check communications to address high-priority initiatives:
- Opens and manages all in-store signage jobs.
- Reviews and approves brand requests for PA messaging.
- Reviews and recommends seasonal and monthly playlist.
Ad Sign Management
- Manages ad sign production across a hybrid team (offshore and in-house specialists).
- Oversees daily ad sign production and workload prioritization.
- Partners with the Print Vendor team on scheduling, pricing execution, and performance-driven initiatives.
- Partners with IT to support system updates, resolve technical issues, and address bugs.
- Leads traffic management for pricing and promotional initiatives, including NLP, seasonal tests, and pricing pilot.
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Advanced skills in 2D and 3D modeling software such as Cinema 4D and the Adobe Create Suite
- Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating spatial, environmental, and graphic design work
- 7-8 years of experience in retail design, experiential design, or a similar field
- Proficiency in space planning, interior design, and graphic design
- Excellent presentation and communication skills to present ideas to senior leadership and other stakeholders
- Project management: The ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and budgets simultaneously
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
- Experience in AutoCAD and SketchUp
