Description of the Securities Services Delivery Team:-

The Securities Services Delivery team is a global team of change specialists who are responsible for the delivery of projects supporting the Entitlements and Tax Capabilities.  The portfolio of change supported by this team includes strategic modernization programs along with run the bank projects to address client pain points, mitigate key risks in existing processes or increase productivity.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the successful delivery of the run the bank portfolio of projects, along with the direct management of the APAC team of Business Analysts, Project Managers and PMO resources.  Closely but independently work with the Entitlements Portfolio Manager and Implementation Lead to define project plans, resource plans, manage project dependencies, milestone plans, risk and issue management and stakeholder management. Responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the run the bank implementations and the effective control of the projects, covering timelines, costs, forecasting, risk and issue management and quality assurance for all elements of the project lifecycle.
 

Responsible for the direct management of the team of partners based in Bangalore and Pune, including performance management, absence management, training & development and succession planning.

Major Duties:

Leads the creation of the change project plan and responsible for the execution of the plan based on agreed scope of work. Proactively monitors progress, resolving issues and managing interdependencies between projects, initiating corrective action as appropriate. In conjunction with IT and the relevant areas ensure appropriate scheduling of project deliverables to meet the supported business function’s plans. Negotiates priorities as necessary and escalate issues appropriately by understanding the most effective path towards resolution. Collaborate and communicate with executive sponsors and senior management stakeholders and partner groups, in particular the supported business function to ensure that all change initiatives are efficiently integrated into the organization. Build credible, trusted advisor relationships with the key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Delivers regular progress reports which present a concise, accurate status of the project, ensuring a consistent status is communicated up to the overall program. Manages third party contributions and costs to the project to ensure delivery against approved project scope, budget, and schedule Managing resource plans, assess when over/under capacity & work with Implementation Lead to plan and prioritize workloads Producing weekly status reports, Managing the RAIDD for all Program related items and Ensuring issues are identified and properly resolved Provides direct line management and leadership to the team based in Bangalore and Pune, sets departmental priorities and allocates resources to align with business objectives and annual plan

Knowledge / Skills

  • Demonstrable success of delivering change as a project manager
  • Experience with change initiatives involving interface management
  • At least 15 years work experience in Financial industry, ideally working within Asset Servicing and knowledge of Entitlements
  • Excellent communication (both written and oral) and collaboration skillsets
  • Requires solid planning, organisation and senior stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent judgment and strong leadership skills are required
  • Experienced people manager and prior experience of remote people management
  • Demonstrates strong focus on client service & delivery
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Experience of working on an Agile project an advantage but not essential
  • Certifications in Project Management and/or Scaled Agile (Safe) an advantage but not essential
