Manager II, Engineering - Code Security

Datadog Code Security is among the fastest growing security products at Datadog. With the rise of coding agents, securing customers' code is becoming more important every day. You will lead Code Security teams to support our growth, expand our product suite to secure AI agents and protect customers from new agentic-based attack patterns. In this role, you will partner closely with product managers to define the Code Security roadmap.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Multiple Engineering Teams: Manage and grow three teams delivering Code Security products (SAST, SCA, Secrets, and IaC)
  • Deliver The Product Roadmap: Partner with product managers define the roadmap
  • Build And Ship Features: expectation of spending a portion of time (30%+) writing and reviewing production code
  • Drive Execution: ensure project execution, prioritize bug fixes and support requests
  • Own Operational Excellence: own on-call rotations, incident response and service reliability
  • Build AI-Native products: transition Datadog Code Security products to AI-native capabilities

Who You Are:

  • Experienced Engineering Manager: You have managed engineering teams and can lead multiple squads across locations and time zones
  • Strong Software Architecture Skills: You can design and evolve backend and frontend systems with sound tradeoffs around performance, scale, and maintainability
  • Customer-Focused Builder: You’ve shipped production-grade software used by multiple customers and can connect engineering choices to customer outcomes
  • Comfortable With Code And Iteration: You can write code, review code, and iterate quickly with engineers, product managers, and designers
  • Knowledge Of Code Analysis Concepts: You understand how code analysis works and can reason about accuracy, performance, and developer experience
  • Run Healthy Operations: You have experience organizing on-call, driving incident response, and improving reliability without burning out teams
