This role is part of Alcon's Marketing function, a team that helps provide access to products across all channels, including through traditional Marketing strategies, event planning, and professional education.
The Manager I, Surgical Product/Brand Marketing – Downstream (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for achieving sales revenue and market share targets by promoting and selling products in a specified territory. You will build relationships with key decision-makers, manage territory operations, and apply advanced skills to drive success. Specifics include:
• Promote and sell defined products to target customer groups
• Foster relationships with clinical and financial decision-makers to influence opportunities
• Practice effective territory management, including planning, organization, reporting, and administration
• Establish and maintain strong professional relationships within a network of accounts and partners
• Understand account change drivers and align internal resources for change management
• Execute marketing and launch plans effectively
• Assist the surgical team by promoting the surgical product range, focusing on intraocular lenses (IOLs)
• Develop and use Salesforce.com and Einstein Analytics to enhance territory performance
• Complete business reviews with key internal and external partners
• Comply with environmental, health, safety, and local Quality System regulations
• Deliver on promises through selling activities, solving problems, and addressing concerns
• Provide insights linking our offerings to customer needs, establishing a clear reason for change
• Achieve Equipment Financing Agreement (EFA) performance targets
• Service customer inquiries promptly and refer to management when needed
• Maintain communication with local account team members, including Field Service Engineer (FSE) and Clinical Application Specialist (CAS)
• Build expertise in ophthalmology and maintain product and technical knowledge accreditation
• Attend congresses, seminars, trade displays, and promotions as required
• Act in accordance with Alcon Values and Behaviors
