Brief Description:
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead and manage all aspects of production planning, capacity planning, and new product development (NPD) for our coupling manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of customer orders at optimal cost and lead time, while maintaining agreed service levels and driving operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in machining processes, lean manufacturing, and production systems, along with proven leadership skills to build and inspire high-performing teams.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and create an inspiring vision for the production team.
- Motivate and coach team members to achieve production goals and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute long-term production plans, including capacity planning and resource allocation.
- Manage production planning and scheduling using SAP to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Minimize backlog orders through effective planning and proactive issue resolution.
- Conduct daily meetings with cross-functional teams to ensure transparent communication on order progress.
- Optimize inventory levels to balance demand and supply in line with fiscal year budgets.
- Manage intercompany orders and coordinate with global group companies.
- Prepare clear and concise reports and data analysis for management presentations.
- Oversee Capex planning, plant layout, machine and equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and process capability establishment using lean concepts.
- Lead machining cost estimation, APQP planning, CNC process planning, tooling selection, fixture and gauge design, prototyping, PPAP, and process documentation.
- Monitor and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), including production output, rework/rejections, and machine up time.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean, Kaizen, TPM, and other methodologies.
- Resolve production, quality, and delivery issues using structured problem-solving tools and ensure timely closure of action items.
- Strengthening team capabilities through training and skill development programs.
- Ensure compliance with shop floor standards and systems, including 6S, EHS, EMS, and QMS requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 15–18 years of experience in manufacturing operations within MNCs.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and SAP systems.
- Expertise in lean production systems, inventory management, MRP, and machining processes (CNC Turning, HMC, VMC, Grinding, SPM, Induction Hardening, Surface Treatment).
- In-depth knowledge of NPD tools (APQP, PPAP, Stage Gate, PFMEA, Control Plan, SOP, WI).
- Familiarity with forging, casting processes, and material composition.
- Strong CNC programming and tooling knowledge (cutting tools, inserts, grinding wheels, broaches).
- Proficiency in problem-solving tools (7QC, Six Sigma) and implementation of Poka-Yoke and engineering controls.
- Hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, QCC, SPC, SMED, VSM, MOST, QMS, EMS-OHSAS.

LOCATION: Euroflex Transmissions India Pvt Ltd., Balanagar, Hyderabad
Incumbent will be appointed on the rolls of Euroflex Transmissions India Private Limited.
Pay Range:
Actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

This position does not involve handling export-controlled technology or data. However, if the role requires interaction with global supply chains or sensitive technical information in the future, the incumbent must comply with all applicable Indian laws and company trade compliance policies.
