About the role

As an Editorial Manager within LexisNexis' Global Legislation and Regulatory Content, you will lead a team of South Africa-based content editors responsible for the accurate, timely, and high-quality editorial processing of United States statutory content. This role is pivotal in supporting LexisNexis’s mission to produce exceptional legal content that underpins our global legal research platforms and advances the rule of law.

Working closely with global stakeholders across North America, Asia-Pacific, and EMEA, you will drive alignment with strategic priorities, champion process improvements, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of content editors through coaching, feedback, and career development.
  • Oversee the editorial process for U.S. statutory content, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Manage daily workflows and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and service level agreements.
  • Implement quality checks and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive process optimization and support integration of automation and AI tools.
  • Act as the local liaison for global editorial teams and participate in cross-functional projects.
  • Contribute to editorial projects such as content migrations, system upgrades, and new product launches.

Requirements:

  • Experience in editorial operations, content management, or legal publishing.
  • Knowledge of U.S. legislative and regulatory content.
  • Proven leadership skills, including managing remote or distributed teams and the ability to lead, coach, and develop others
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with editorial tools and content management systems.
  • Comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.
  • A law degree, practical or applied experience in a legal, legislative, or regulatory setting
  • Comfortable working an overlap to support U.S. working hours.
