Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Human Resources Manager to join our Sydney-based team on a full-time, 12-month maximum term contract. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering HR support and driving people initiatives across the business, with a focus on enhancing performance, engagement, and compliance.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, you will join a national team of motivated and high-performing professionals committed to continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a proactive, composed, and strategic HR Manager looking to build on their experience within a collaborative and supportive environment.
 

What will you be responsible for?

  • Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic and pragmatic HR advice, supporting workforce planning, organisational design, team effectiveness, and business growth.
  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring effective delivery of core processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll, and HR systems.
  • Lead and support team members, providing coaching, mentoring, and development while fostering a high-performing team environment.
  • Coach and support leaders on people matters, including performance, development of high-potential talent, and navigating complex or sensitive employee issues.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, HR policy, and employment legislation, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
  • Guide hiring processes and support complex recruitment and resourcing decisions aligned with business needs and talent strategy.
  • Lead performance, talent development, and succession planning initiatives, including the annual performance review cycle and capability-building programs.
  • Foster a positive, values-aligned culture and employee experience through engagement, communication, and leadership initiatives.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and HR budgeting, including management of the HR calendar (e.g. compensation cycles, reporting, and global initiatives) to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Manage relationships with external advisors and service providers, including payroll, legal, tax, and benefits partners.
  • Drive HR initiatives, projects, and process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and support business outcomes.
  • Ensure HR policies, practices, and governance comply with Australian employment legislation and global standards, partnering with Compliance and Internal Audit as required.
  • Provide ad hoc HR support to the business, including workforce planning, organisational design, reporting, and strategic initiatives.

What experience and qualifications will you possess?

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related field
  • Broad HR generalist experience with demonstrated capability partnering with senior leaders.
  • Experience operating in a complex, matrixed or regulated environment preferred.
  • Experience delivering HR operational processes across the employee lifecycle.
  • Exposure to HR systems such as Workday desirable.
