Manager HO &RWE - PT

Purpose

Objective: The Health Outcomes & Real World Evidence (HO&RWE) manager  reports to the Executive Medical Director and is responsible for the design, development, and execution of HO&RWE studies that help customers understand the value of our medicines with timely and credible evidence throughout the products lifecycle.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Medical or Pharmaceutical Degree and postgraduate qualification in a field relevant to health outcomes research (epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, patient reported outcomes and/or health economics).
  • At least 2 years of experience designing and applying health economics and observational research to contribute to pricing & reimbursement and access activities and communicating the key findings to internal and external stakeholders. 
  • A proven track record of scientific communications including abstracts and peer-reviewed manuscripts. Ability to write study protocols, reports or manuscripts.
  • Global understanding of healthcare system in Portugal and the different types of observational research designs and their implications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a team-oriented/cross-functional environment.
  • Well-developed project management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Fluent in English

Functions

  • To contribute to the Lilly products strategy identifying the needs and gaps of different stakeholders (healthcare professionals, payers, patients, etc) that can be covered with well-designed HO&RWE studies.
  • Develop, implement and manage HO&RWE studies: burden of illness studies, economic evaluations and observational studies (retrospective, cross-sectional and prospective) based on different sources of data (medical chart reviews, databases and primary data collection).
  • To identify opportunities regarding new sources of data for potential studies (e.g. registries)
  • Implement complementary activities required to achieve health outcomes research objectives (e.g. literature reviews).
  • Manage, implement and deliver health outcomes projects to agreed timelines.
  • Present the main finding of the HO&RWE studies to external and internal audiences. To give internal training

This position is located in Lisbon  and may require travel.
