Manager, Healthcare Technology Consultant

A Manager (or equivalent level) to lead Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovation workshops with clients to deeply understand their existing workflows, including manual steps and complex processes. This role involves documenting workflows thoroughly, identifying strategic AI use cases to optimize and automate processes, and developing comprehensive business cases with ROI models. Additionally, the Manager will translate conceptual AI solutions into technical architecture diagrams, guiding clients from vision to implementation. This role will also include project management and participating in all aspects of the systems implementation life cycle related to the integration of leading healthcare IT applications. The Consultant will be part of a multi-disciplined project team and will work collaboratively with both fellow consulting and client team members.

The Healthcare Systems Implementation Manager will also have a basic understanding of the consulting cycle process within the healthcare industry. As a key contributor he/she will support the building of a world class healthcare practice through listening to client needs, proposal development and presentation of solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead interactive workshops with clients to explore, analyze, and document detailed workflows and process complexities.

  • Map out manual and automated components of client workflows to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for AI enhancements.

  • Define, prioritize, and articulate AI use cases that address business challenges and improve operational efficiency.

  • Develop robust business cases for each AI use case, including detailed ROI/benefit models to support investment decisions.

  • Create clear, scalable architecture diagrams and implementation roadmaps that translate AI concepts into actionable technical solutions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders—to ensure alignment on AI initiatives.

  • Present findings, use cases, business cases, and implementation strategies to client executives and decision-makers.

  • Stay current on AI trends and industry best practices to innovate workshop methodologies and solution designs.

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks

  • Client consulting by coordinating Technical, Operational, and training assistance to optimize system utilization and efficiency.

  • Contribute to IT systems assessments and software selection projects

  • Travel as needed (25-50%)
     

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Information Management, or similar program.

  • Minimum of five years' experience with systems implementation projects and assessments.

  • Direct experience with implementation of software in a healthcare setting

  • Prior consulting experience

  • Experience with leading electronic health records systems (e.g. Epic, Cerner)
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with 3M Health Information Systems solutions such as 3M 360 Encompass and Engage One

  • Experience with CRM solutions in healthcare and patient engagement solutions

  • PMI Project Management Professional certification

  • Experience with Revenue Cycle, Clinical workflows

  • Proven experience managing client workshops focused on business process analysis and AI innovation.

  • Strong understanding of client workflow dynamics across multiple industries and the challenges inherent to manual and complex processes.

  • Ability to translate business problems into technical AI use cases and solutions.

  • Skilled in developing detailed ROI and business models supporting technology investments

  • Proficiency in creating architectural diagrams that link conceptual AI ideas to system design and deployment.

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills for diverse audiences, including executives and technical teams.

  • Background in AI, machine learning, business analysis, or related fields preferred.

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $107,000 - $214,500

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
