Join us as a Manager in our Tax & Enterprise team, where you’ll help innovative organisations unlock government support for their Research & Development ambitions. You will gain exposure to cutting-edge R&D activity across New Zealand and globally - working with organisations at the forefront of innovation, science, and technology. Based in PwC Tower at Commercial Bay, this fixed-term opportunity through to December 2026 offers the chance to lead complex engagements, shape meaningful client outcomes, and influence how we deliver future-focused advisory services. 

Your day to day could include: 

  • Lead end-to-end client engagements, delivering high-quality R&D tax incentive (RDTI) and RDTLCO claims across a diverse range of industries. 

  • Translate complex R&D activities into compelling, compliant technical submissions, working closely with clients and reviewing financial and technical evidence. 

  • Drive project delivery, managing timelines, budgets, billing, and engagement economics while maintaining PwC’s quality and risk standards. 

  • Act as a trusted client advisor, leading discussions with clients and government bodies (including HMRC), responding to queries, and representing PwC in meetings. 

  • Develop people and innovation, coaching team members, supporting their growth, and driving the use of AI and new ways of working across the engagement lifecycle.

  • Experience in a professional services environment. 

  • Technical expertise in R&D activities, tax legislation, and an interest in global government incentive regimes. 

  • Commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to manage risk, assess new work opportunities, and deliver value-driven outcomes for clients. 

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to engage confidently with clients, regulators, and internal stakeholders. 

  • A Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance, Science, or Engineering).
