Let’s Talk about the Role

As Manager, Global Product Operations & GTM, you will be responsible in partnership with the Smartwool & icebreaker Global Leadership Teams to support seasonal execution by driving an end-to-end GTM process in conjunction with managing the Global Product Operations and Seasonal Calendar.

This is a dynamic position that sits at the intersection of operational business planning, and GTM execution. In the role you will collaborate with multiple, cross-functional departments, including the Global Leadership Team, Global Product Creation, Global Marketing, Sourcing and Regional Merchandising teams to deliver projects which create value for the SWIB Natural Performance Portfolio.

How You Will Make a Difference

Product Operations:

• Own and maintain a combined Seasonal GTM Calendar for Smartwool & icebreaker enabling cross-collaboration with internal partners to ensure successful implementation.

• Develop and innovate standardised frameworks to support special project planning and execution, drive cross-functional alignment and efficiency.

• Manage the Brand Master Plan file working collaboratively with the Global Product Creation & Global Marketing teams to ensure information is kept up to date and cascaded to regional GMs to capture Risks & Opportunities within the required cadence.

• Have regular touch points with Brand Leadership teams to maintain a 360 view on business strategy and evolution as it relates to Global Product Team operational and systems capability.

• Lead projects to improve and transform business systems (e.g. PLM) and operational processes (e.g. DPC to support the product creation function; ensuring effective training and education is evaluated and provided through documented procedures/workflows for seamless transition.

• Oversee training for new users and troubleshoot and triage system/business user issues.

GTM:

• Lead the GTM process, scheduling key milestone meetings in conjunction with the Global Product Creation teams through a clear calendar creation and execution process.

• Oversee multiple horizon GTM calendars and timelines, tracking the execution of seasonal deliverables, ensuring adequate preparation for each milestone and communicating any changes cross functionally.

• Continuously evaluate GTM timelines based on current market and strategic needs, including process mapping and resource optimization. Track each calendar execution with the cross functional teams.

• Build and maintain GTM timeline management tools (e.g. Smartsheet) to facilitate the complexity management and efficiency improvements.

• Proactively identify process bottlenecks and facilitate the adjustment of timelines when trade-offs are needed.

• Support the Global Product Leadership Teams in driving brand experience and value creation by coordinating inputs from the VF Consumer Insights team and cascading feedback (e.g Brand Health Tracker).

Skills for Success

• Solid & demonstrated experience in product operations, merchandising or planning.

• Experience leading business transformation initiatives through process, organisation, and technology changes.

• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross functionally.

• Demonstrated success in obtaining buy in to business process changes with multiple stakeholders to achieve the goals of effective business transformation

• Demonstrated knowledge of product supply chains and process from concept to consumer.

• Languages: Fluent English – any additional European language is a plus.

• Computer literate in PC/MAC: MS Office with strong Excel & PPT skills.

• Experience with PLM systems e.g.: Enovia, Flex.

• Understanding of product creation technologies e.g.: Adobe CS & Browzwear is a plus.
