The Manager, Global Planning Data & Analytics role has the responsibility to serve as a shared service function for the Merchandise Planning, Inventory Management and Operations Leadership teams to convert advanced data sets into insights for better decision making.

Purpose

  • Provide global data visibility, availability, and standardized reporting across MPIM functions.
  • Act as part of the MPIM Center of Excellence, training and coaching teams to interpret insights and use data effectively.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (Planning, Merchandising, Inventory Management, Operations, Global Data) to meet analytics and data product needs.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of MPIM data sets across planning, operations, and merchandising.
  • Support global GTM/CtC milestones with timely, accurate dashboards and analytics.
  • Lead a team of data analysts, who act as operational owner for global MPIM dashboards, performance trackers, and GTM reporting.
  • Enable AI‑driven decision intelligence for MPIM by delivering predictive and prescriptive insights embedded in investment, and inventory workflows.
  • Strong cross functional collaboration and communication is key to successfully executing this job.

About the Job

  • You will be accountable to design and deliver on-time MPIM global dashboards (global Fcst data roll-up, Act vs Plan, Fcst variance, GDA, Fit tracker…) and provide insights
  • You will continue the current transformation and efforts to streamline, standardize and elevate reporting and analytics in line with the Global Data vision (Looker, ARC, GCP,…).
  • You will drive the global roadmap for MPIM data analytics and contribute to backlog prioritization for analytics enhancements and new data product requests.
  • You will partner with Global Data organization to align on MPIM data needs and ways of working and support the implementation of new data product for MPIM (validation, testing, adoption)
  • You will partner with Global Merchandise Planning, Outlet planning, IM and Operations teams to provide reporting & metric needs across key milestones of the GTM (Volume alignment, Buy review, Investment Review, S&OP,…) for executive-level decision-making
  • You are accountable for Monetization tool globally to support Investment Review process as well as RAP tool.
  • You will support the alignment of new KPI and the adoptions of new dashboard, data products across MP-IM department—e.g. service level/fill rate performance analysis, Sell-out performance tracking, Fcst variance & Accuracy, E&O
  • Own AI model opportunity for planning analytics data platforms—from problem solving, deployment to adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Translate AI outputs into trusted, action‑oriented executive narratives that accelerate decisions and improve business outcomes.
  • You will bring data to life through storytelling in a clear and meaningful way to audiences with mixed levels of technical expertise and informing key strategic decisions. 

About You

Education:

  • Master Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer science, Econometrics or a similar discipline

Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in analytics and data science or insights roles, in the planning environment preferred.
  • Retail or apparel experience is a bonus, but not required, but curiosity and customer empathy are essential.

Specialized Knowledge/Technical Skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills & attention to detail to interpret meaningful themes from quantitative data
  • Proficiency in retail math
  • Clear understanding of financial measurements and how to impact them
  • Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis
  • Hands-on experience analyzing and interpreting data, drawing conclusions, defining recommended actions, and visualizing results
  • Good knowledge of data visualization tool (Looker is a plus, or other)
  • Ability to code in SQL and R/python
  • Experience working in AWS and GCP
  • Highly proficient with ETL tools (Dataiku, Alteryx or other), Excel and the rest of the MS Office suite
  • Experience with online tracking, reporting tools and ability to learn upcoming AI capabilities.
  • Experience with data migrations, report rationalization, and KPI standardization across large organizations.

  • Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad, diverse group of business partners, mainly the cross-functional team
  • Good listening, written and oral communication skills, reflecting an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, written and in presentation form as well as orally, with all levels of employees throughout the organization.
  • Ability to work in a global collaborative team environment
