Manager, Global Logistics Solutions

ROLE SUMMARY

Pfizer Digital is the IT division of Pfizer Inc, a global pharmaceutical company. We are committed to providing innovative solutions to our clients and optimizing their business processes. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join Pfizer Digital as a Manager who will be responsible for design and implementation of Digital solutions for Global Logistics and Network Services (GLNS) functional area. This role will collaborate with the GLNS business team to deliver SAP based solutions and associated external partner coordination.

This role will be

  • SME for implementation of solutions and enhancements across the GLNS network leveraging SAP ecosystem primarily. In absence of an SAP solution, provide alternative solutions
  • Responsible for maintaining relationships with internal and external customers, solution vendors required to deliver, deploy, support, and provide issue resolution of digital solutions
  • Accountable for ensuring that Pfizer internal systems/solutions, external partner systems/solutions and integrations are compliant with Pfizer risk assessment and compliance standards
  • Managing project lifecycle in its entirety with minimum assistance

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to identify opportunities, solve business problems, develop and deliver optimal solutions within agreed timeline and budget
  • Document detailed requirements, gain alignment and communicate requirements to all SMEs in business and other Digital teams. Engage across the Digital organization to identify innovative ideas, best practices, and continuous improvement opportunities to promote and maximize the value of existing solutions
  • Manage all the Enhancement Request (ER) process steps
  • Initiate and manage project activities for the full lifecycle of the GLNS projects
  • Work with Solutions team, development team, integration team, risk management and compliance team and other teams as needed to develop, test and deploy digital solutions for the projects
  • Provide guidance to Solution Development team to review test scenarios and verify outcome of testing
  • Work with external partners to
    • Conduct Supplier Control Assessments and computer systems validation as required in collaboration with Pfizer Risk Management team
    • Communicate system integration and other process/solution requirements
    • Ensure adherence of project timelines during their development/testing/deployment and compliance activities
  • Act as a Digital project manager or partner with Business PMO and other team members in the following activities:
    • Project plan updates and report on progress to required stakeholders
    • Organize and facilitate meetings to implement projects
  • In an Agile environment, act as a product owner or an Agile team member to do the following activities
    • Participate in PI Planning, Sprints, and other Agile ceremonies
    • Develop Themes, Epics, User Stories, and other Agile artifacts
    • Collaborate with other Agile team members to develop, test and deliver minimum viable products (MVP) and incrementally accomplish the overall functionality
  • Ensure compliance with global standards for system design, application development, and maintenance lifecycle including documentation standards as per Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP)
  • Provide periodic status updates to reporting manager and leaders in Digital and GLNS business

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Logistics or related degree
  • 5 years of industry experience with Global Supply chain technical solution deployment in the Transportation and Logistics domain
  • 3 years of experience in SAP ERP platform, focused on logistics/transportation modules (MM, SD)
  • Experience working with S4 Hana is a plus
  • Experience working in following functional areas is a plus; Risk Management, Freight Audit, Trade management, Carrier management, Real time temperature monitoring using IOT devices
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles using traditional SDLC and Agile principles
  • Knowledge or familiarity with the production support process, including tasks, escalation routes, communications, and other related activities
  • Experience with software testing and testing tools (e.g., automated testing tools, compare tools, etc.)
  • A thorough understanding of GMP system requirements during IT system design and the maintenance lifecycle in GMP environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (written and spoken in English)
  • Strong attention to detail with good organization skills
  • Proficient withMicrosoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access, Project, Visio, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Ability to respect individuals, collaborate and operate in a global multi-cultural environment with people of different backgrounds, languages, culture, preferences, time zones and requirements is mandatory

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • 5% to 10% travel (local and international) may be required dependent upon project needs
  • Periodically shift work hours and/or attend meetings to suit a regional time zone
  • May need to occasionally shift hours to support a go live or project release over a weekend
