Job Description

The Manager – Global Fund Custody leads operational activities supporting U.S. Bank’s Global Fund Custody business. This role is responsible for leading and managing a team of client‑facing account administrators responsible for daily cash processing and related operational activities. As the Manager – Global Fund Custody you will ensure high‑quality client experience while ensuring accurate, timely and controlled cash movements in accordance with U.S. Bank policies procedures, and risk standards. As the Manager  Global Fund Custody you will provide escalation support for complex client and operational issues. You will partner closely with leadership, subject matter experts, and cross‑functional teams to support day‑to‑day operations, system enhancements, and process improvements while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Directly and through staff, manage and coordinate operational activities for assigned Global Fund Custody functions and client relationships.
  • Lead and develop a team of account managers who serve as primary client contacts, providing guidance, coaching, performance feedback, and accountability.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex operational or client issues, providing direction and resolution support when standard workflows are insufficient.
  • Ensure consistent, high‑quality service and effective operational support for internal and external clients.
  • Train and support team members on custody processes, job responsibilities, and new or evolving systems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert across multiple operational processes, providing guidance on both routine and non‑routine matters.
  • Participate in operational projects, system enhancements, and initiatives that impact Global Fund Custody teams and clients.
  • Monitor adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and service standards, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to the review and improvement of operational systems, controls, and procedures to support efficiency and risk management.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead high‑performing teams by setting clear expectations, establishing goals, measuring progress, and recognizing success.
  • Build accountability and engagement through ongoing feedback, coaching, and performance management practices.
  • Support workforce planning and talent development to meet current and future operational needs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically five or more years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulatory requirements
  • Solid understanding of relevant products, programs, financial analysis, and supporting documentation
  • Proven organizational, managerial, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks
  • Demonstrated supervisory and people management capabilities; prior leadership experience highly preferred
  • Experience supporting or leading new employee training and onboarding initiatives
  • Familiarity with SWP
  • Experience working with ETFs and/or private equity funds
  • Experience with custody functions and/or securities processing
  • Strong knowledge of operational functions, systems, procedures, and the products and services supported by the assigned area(s)
  • Well-developed customer relationship skills with a strong focus on service and partnership
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication abilities

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
