Position Summary:  Join our Global Corporate Giving team in deepening and amplifying Edwards Lifesciences and Edwards Lifesciences Foundation’s impact on underserved structural heart patients and strengthen communities worldwide.   In this role, you will:

  • Create strategic communications that engage, inspire, and drive impact.  

  • Manage operational excellence across communications and programs to ensure measurable outcomes.

  • Work closely with our team, Global Communications, and internal and external cross-functional partners to maximize volunteerism, connection, and impact.

How you will make an impact:

1. Communications & Advocacy

  • Develop and execute global communication strategies that elevate Edwards’ philanthropic impact and inspire engagement across internal and external audiences.

  • Create compelling content and collateral for internal and external communications and advocacy opportunities (i.e. campaigns, presentations, white papers, videos, social media) from concept through execution.

  • Manage executive speaking engagements, internal and external announcements, intranet, social platforms, and external websites (including translations in multiple languages for global communications).

  • Develop and execute on an editorial/advocacy calendar that prioritizes and organizes communications initiatives, awareness opportunities, speaking engagements, participation at medical meetings, leverages significant internal employee meetings, etc.

2. Employee Engagement & Volunteerism

  • Develop and support operations and execution of global campaigns and strategies to increase participation in volunteer programs and philanthropic initiatives (i.e., Heart Month, Global Month of Giving, employee matching gifts, disaster relief).

  • Manage volunteer and donation programs, and partner with employees and non-profits to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Lead Global Volunteer Committee meetings, and support and foster a strong community of regional volunteer leaders.

3. Operational Excellence

  • Design and optimize systems, tools/toolkits, and processes to improve efficiency and scalability of programs and communications (i.e. Teams Live, Teams Townhall, Marketo, CyberGrants).

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries, ensuring exceptional responsiveness and leveraging AI tools for streamlined service.

4. Event Management and Recognition

  • Plan and execute major events (i.e., Every Heartbeat Matters Partner Summit, patient experiences, partner fundraisers), including concept development, budgeting, logistics, AV, and post-event evaluations.

  • Manage sponsorship activations and partner events, ensuring alignment with vision and strategic objectives.

*This is an on-site position based in Irvine, CA

What you will need (required):

  • Bachelor's Degree in in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field, 8 years experience in Communications and/or Marketing or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria required

  • Experience with a matrixed company or organization or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria, preferred

  • Ability to collaborate across global, matrixed organizations and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience turning complex information into compelling content

  • Understanding of Edwards business, policies, current practice in communications

  • Provides guidance to outsourcing partners e.g. PR companies on a task level

  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

Aligning our overall business objectives with performance, we offer competitive salaries, performance-based incentives, and a wide variety of benefits programs to address the diverse individual needs of our employees and their families.

For California (CA) the base pay range for this position is $102,000 to $145,000 (highly experienced).
