The Role

Vectra AI is looking for a Manager, Global Benefits to lead all benefit, wellness and leave programs for a global workforce in 23 countries and growing. This position with one direct report will play a critical role in ensuring our programs are efficient, competitive, compliant, and well utilized. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with our global business leaders to establish priorities and tailor solutions in a wide variety of talent markets and statutory environments. This position is remote in the United States, with preference to hire near one of our office locations in San Jose, Austin, or Boston/Cambridge.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, design and implement all company benefit programs such as health, disability/life, retirement/pension and wellness
  • Manage all broker and provider relationships
  • Ensure programs are competitive using multiple sources of information including survey data, broker partners and benefits advisors
  • Partner with internal stakeholders in Payroll, IT, and Accounting to design employee benefits and leave processes that elevate the employee experience
  • Lead annual renewal process and US open enrollment
  • Lead, plan and execute benefits communications and education across the entire portfolio of offerings in all geographies; Oversee the development and maintenance of benefits communication materials including the benefits guides and intranet website
  • Maintain global governance process for benefit and retirement plans; Stay up to date on compliance updates and requirements. Update policies and programs to comply with any regulatory changes and partner with our brokers and providers to execute updates.
  • Create and manage the benefits compliance calendar that includes critical tasks and due dates for non-discrimination testing, audits, 5500 filings, ACA notices, Summary Annual Reports and other requirements
  • Manage the company’s time off programs and policies including vacation, sick and all leaves of absence
  • Oversee and contribute to the administration of employee leaves of absence
  • Provide support, guidance and mentorship to your direct report Benefits Specialist

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience designing and administering benefits for the U.S. and Europe
  • At least 3 years of experience managing large-scale, complex global benefits projects
  • Significant experience with US benefits compliance requirements, including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, HSA rules and other benefit and regulatory requirements
  • Significant experience managing the full lifecycle of benefits and wellness programs, beginning with budget forecasting through contracting, invoicing, reconciling, and renewing plans and programs
  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for delivering quality and accuracy in the work you do
  • Exceptional time management, prioritization & organization skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining data confidentiality and privacy
  • Proficient in Office 365 suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Experience

  • Designing and administering benefits programs across mainland Europe
  • Managing a small team
Our competitive total rewards package includes cash compensation within the range provided below. Actual pay for this position may vary based on the hired candidate’s location, experience and relevant incumbent pay position.
