Basic Function and Scope of the Position:
We are seeking a seasoned Manager of Funnel Operations to join our USCAN (US and Canada) Field Operations team, leading a team of Funnel Analysts in lead generation and Marketing data management. The role is responsible for integrating technology, processes, and analytics to ensure an efficient and effective experience for the Marketing team throughout the funnel to pipeline journey.
The ideal candidate will enable the team's success by offering guidance and strategic vision in key support areas, including funnel management, Martech systems, utilization of commercial technology, and navigation of internal processes. Success in this role requires a high degree of commercial business acumen and the ability to proactively identify opportunities. Additionally, this person should be able to influence across the organization to generate consensus and tactically execute to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
The Funnel Operations Manager should be comfortable adapting to ambiguity and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. This requires the ability to quickly and seamlessly adapt one's style to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration and delivery of large-scale initiatives aligned with functional, regional, and corporate strategic goals.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the team, ensuring alignment with departmental and commercial goals.
- Oversee daily activities to meet business objectives, budget targets, and deliver excellent customer experience.
- Implement Global policies and maintain Marketing technologies and best practices in partnership with global and regional teams.
- Train and support regional teams on Martech systems (e.g., SFDC, Pardot, DataCloud, ON24, Hive9, Cvent, Captello).
- Track campaign execution, report on key metrics and ROI, and manage budget and actuals.
- Drive adoption of new commercial resources through user education and onboarding.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal groups (Regional Marketing, Inside Sales, Finance, GIS, Global Commercial Operations).
- Partner with Sales Operations to connect Marketing and Sales functions throughout the funnel.
- Support efforts to capture competitive intelligence and report insights.
- Participate in talent acquisition, onboarding, development, and performance management.
- Proactively identify opportunities and collaborate across the organization to drive consensus.
- Adapt to ambiguity and partner with stakeholders to deliver departmental initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Perform other duties as required.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Degree in Business, Marketing, Technical field, or Life Sciences is a plus.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of Commercial Operations experience with a Bachelor's degree , with 1-3 years of Management experience.
- Must be local to San Diego or willing to relocate.
- Successful track record in Marketing, Sales, Service, or Channel Operations or a related commercial support role preferred.
- Experience in a technology and/or strategic selling environment. Sales and/or related management experience a plus.
- Comfortable balancing people, processes, and technology to deliver valuable operational workflows to the business.
- Experience in performance management, training, and successfully developing individuals to scale the team's ability.
- High degree of emotional intelligence and maintains a calm, even disposition in all situations to provide stability for the team in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work in team settings, and work independently when required.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Experience with marketing systems for CRM, outbound marketing, lead management and marketing automation.
- Possess an open, flexible, and positive can-do attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with multiple departments to execute mutually beneficial solutions. Experience dealing with difficult internal and external situations.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook and an innate ability to navigate new software applications. Experience with SAP and Salesforce.com a plus.
The estimated base salary range for the Manager, Funnel Operations role based in the United States of America is: $115,800 - $173,800. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
