You will support forecasting activities for the US Specialty Business that guide commercial and supply decisions. You will work closely with Marketing, Finance, Commercial Insights, Supply Chain and other teams. This role requires strong analytical skills and a wide variety of methodological approaches to forecasting as well as in-depth understanding of the US pharmaceutical market dynamics. Responsibilities of the role include:
Establish, document, and maintain financial and manufacturing forecasts on a monthly cycle and annually revise Long-Range Forecast, in partnership with global and local Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Commercial Insights teams.
Create SKU, patient and gross-sales level forecasts and monitor accuracy and bias using industry metrics for the US (including Puerto Rico).
Run and present scenario modeling, identify risks and opportunities, and provide clear recommendations to multiple management levels.
Partner with Marketing, Finance, Commercial Insights, Market Access, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to align assumptions and support launch planning.
Ensure accuracy of forecasts through industry standard accuracy and bias metrics; identify corrective actions as appropriate.
Translate market trends, competitor activity and customer insights into forecast drivers and actionable plans.
Prepare timely responses for senior leadership requests and support quarterly financial processes as needed.
In partnership with various stakeholders develop, document, and maintain US Forecasts for priority pipeline assets from Phase 2 onward, including launch planning support.

Basic Qualifications:
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
BS/BA degree in Analytics, Statistics, Business/Economics, Biology/Chemistry, Finance or related area
5+ years’ experience in:
Analyzing market data and trends, assessing financial/commercial impacts and identifying risks and opportunities.
Utilizing and maintaining financial, analytics or gross sales forecast models.
Learning agility to build business acumen.
Proven collaboration skills and able to work effectively across a matrix environment.
Proficiency in MS Excel working with substantial amounts of data, financial and/or analytical data modeling involving multiple inputs.
Proficiency in MS PowerPoint
Demonstrated communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Graduate degree such as MBA, M.Sc. in Statistics or related field.
Experience with patient claims data, patient flow modeling or prescription (Rx) forecasting.
Experience in pharmaceutical commercial forecasting, including pipeline and launch planning.
Familiarity with forecasting tools, scripting languages or visualization software (for example SQL, Python, R, Tableau).
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders with concise, data-driven recommendations.
Comfortable working independently, prioritizing work and delivering to tight timelines.
Familiarity and experience using digital capabilities to enhance automation and standardization.
Knowledge and experience with at least one GSK U.S. Pharma relevant commercial areas, Primary Care, Specialty (Immunology, Oncology), Vaccines.
