About the team: (TE)

About the role:

We are seeking a forward-thinking Finance Manager to drive finance transformation within the Record-to-Report (RTR) landscape. This role is crafted for a leader who combines strong accounting judgment with digital fluency and a transformation mentality.

The directive is not to “own the process” but to redesign, simplify, automate, and future-proof it.

This role will play a critical part in moving Finance from manual, reactive execution to automated, insightful performance management.

Role Responsibilities:

🔹 Finance Transformation Leadership

• Reinvent and redesign existing finance processes with a focus on simplification, standardization, and automation.

• Lead initiatives to structurally reduce manual journals and non-value-adding adjustments.

• Shift the team’s approach from transaction processing to analytical oversight.

• Embed strong governance while enabling agility.

🔹 Digital & Automation Strategy

• Develop scalable analytics and dashboarding frameworks using:

  Power BI (sophisticated DAX, data modelling, automation)

  Python (data engineering, automation scripting, financial analytics)

• Replace manual reporting layers with intelligent, real-time dashboards.

• Leverage data to proactively identify risks, inefficiencies, and control gaps.

• Drive adoption of automation solutions across collaborators.

🔹 Insight-Led Controllership

• Provide strategic financial insights beyond numbers.

• Use analytics to identify structural inefficiencies in accruals, allocations, intercompany, and reporting flows.

• Build predictive and trend-based reporting instead of retrospective explanations.

• Strengthen balance sheet governance through data visibility.

🔹 Change & Influence

• Act as a motivator for digital upskilling within finance.

• Influence senior collaborators to adopt modern finance practices.

• Challenge legacy ways of working constructively.

• Lead through clarity, not complexity.

Strategic Capabilities

• Thinks structurally, not transactionally

• Comfortable questioning legacy processes

• Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving ability

• Ability to articulate finance strategy in executive language

Digital & Technical Expertise (Non-Negotiable)

• Sophisticated Power BI (data modelling, DAX optimization, dashboard architecture)

• Hands-on Python for automation and financial analytics

• Strong understanding of S4

• Ability to translate accounting challenges into scalable digital solutions
