The Controller Thailand would be handling the financial reporting, local regulatory and local statutory audit process of our Five legal entities in Thailand for Amex GBT and CWT. The role is based out in Thailand and will help with the end-to-end process of financial statement preparation along with the local statutory audit by a Big4/other firm for the Thailand entities. The role will report to the APAC Controller in India and a part of the Controllership Organization.
What You’ll do
Lead the financial reporting and local statutory audits three legal entities in Thailand involving preparation and filing of statutory financial documents under local gaap as well as coordinating with shared service centers (internal and external) for audit related requirements
Lead the Tax filings and other regulatory filing requirements for the Thailand legal entities
Co-ordinate with Tax, Controller/hubs and other customers to obtain and provide required information and clarifications for the purpose of audits, regulatory filings and month close.
Responsible for accurate month close of the three legal entities in Thailand as per USGAAP. Responsible for review and oversight of reconciliations by the Thailand entities
Support with other filing requirements of the designated market
Ensure compliance with groups’ US GAAP and local accounting policies and implementation of relevant standard procedures and practices.
Assist global teams in project implementations which impact Thailand
Build relationships with key points of contact across the processes and other functions both within the company and externally to maintain an understanding of the process context and identify both intra process and cross improvement in execution.
Required to support local business initiatives in Thailand may be required to provide oversight / support of shared services team in Thailand
Based on performance may be asked to step up as Director of the three Thailand legal entites.
What We're looking for
Accountant /ACCA with 4+ year's experience handling Entity controllership or statutory audits.
Candidates with experience in Tax compliances will be preferred
Candidates with prior experience in a Big4 Audit firm will be given a preference.
Knowledge of NetSuite and Blackline will be an added advantage
Demonstrates strong technical skills for Local gaap/ IFRS and US GAAP required for the role, pays attention to detail, takes initiative to broaden his / her knowledge and demonstrates appropriate financial / analytical skills.
