About the Role
The role is responsible for managing the budgeting process, monthly forecasting, and long-range financial planning, while also overseeing global monthly cross-charge and billing activities for Harman Lifestyle. The individual will work closely with Finance leaders and key business partners to deliver effective controlling services that support both current operations and future business requirements. This position reports to the Executive Director – Lifestyle Shared Services.
What You Will Do
- Work with global teams across geographies and all Lifestyle businesses.
- Perform daily tasks independently and provide guidance to operations teams and counterparts.
- Prepare and manage the global SSC budget, monthly forecasts, and long-range planning.
- Review spending plans and process improvements with hub leads.
- Review budgets, actuals, and forecasts with hub leads.
- Review and approve POs and non-PO invoices.
- Monitor accruals, allocations, and month-end close accuracy.
- Analyze variances and key drivers (headcount reconciliations, expenses).
- Ensure compliance with SOX, Corporate Accounting Policies, and internal controls; support internal and external audits; and manage cross-charges in alignment with transfer pricing guidelines.
- Publish the monthly financial performance report.
- Provide forward-looking, insight-driven financial guidance and recommendations to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Support transformation and productivity initiatives; partner with hub leads to drive productivity improvements and ensure accountability for actions.
- Build and maintain partnerships with global functional leaders.
What You Need to Be Successful
- 10+ years of experience in controlling
- 2+ years of stakeholder management experience
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Solid reporting skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and lead by example
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications required
- Good working knowledge of SAP FICO
- Ability to work in a high-paced, high-volume environment
- A track record in stakeholder management, preferably in a shared services center
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Ability to communicate proficiently in English, both written and verbal
- Willingness to work flexible hours and under stringent timelines
Bonus Points if You Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Additional accounting qualifications are an advantage.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive and goal-oriented approach to decision-making.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functional boundaries to drive tasks to successful completion.
- Ability to work efficiently in a matrix organizational environment.

- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment, with a few days in the office each week.
