The Manager, Finance (Manufacturing plant) is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness of the legal entity. Acting as a strategic finance partner to Manufacturing Operations and the Business Services Center (BSC), this role provides accurate statutory and management reporting, strengthens financial governance, and delivers data driven insights that support both local execution and broader corporate objectives.
The role combines strong technical accounting expertise, cross functional collaboration, and financial leadership, with ownership of core accounting processes, internal controls, and continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment.
How you’ll make an impact:
Financial Accounting & Compliance
Own general accounting activities for the legal entity, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local statutory requirements and corporate accounting policies.
Coordinate and execute month end close activities, delivering timely and accurate financial reporting.
Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and financial policies aligned with GAAP, SOX, and local regulations.
Lead compliance activities, including SOX controls, internal controls, fixed asset audits, and physical inventory counts.
Ensure robust financial governance and proactive issue escalation when risks or control gaps are identified.
Tax, Treasury & Fixed Assets
Serve as the primary finance point of contact for local tax authorities (Hacienda) and Corporate Tax, including preparation, presentation, and follow up of tax filings.
Lead and oversee fixed assets, Capex and treasury processes, ensuring appropriate controls, reporting accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
Business Partnership & Financial Analytics
Act as the primary finance partner to Manufacturing and the BSC, enabling alignment, effective communication, and issue resolution.
Analyze financial data and trends to generate insights, develop management presentations, and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with finance and manufacturing stakeholders to develop financial dashboards, KPIs, and global reporting, including plan metrics, cost of quality, and financial tracking of large projects.
Evaluate and monitor ROI (Return on Investment) for capital expenditures and strategic initiatives.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Provide financial leadership across cross functional and matrixed teams, including guiding and leading small project teams on tactical finance initiatives.
Partner with management to identify and drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve data quality.
Represent finance leadership in projects and initiatives, interfacing with project managers, outsourcing partners, and corporate finance stakeholders.
Deliver task level financial leadership and guidance to outsourcing and shared service partners, as applicable.
What are we looking for (Required):
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, and minimum 8 years of progressive experience in finance and/or accounting roles.
What else we look for (Preferred):
Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX, local statutory reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Experience leading or coordinating month end close, internal controls, and audit activities.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple organizational levels.
Ability to translate data into insights.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Fully bilingual English-Spanish.
Prior experience in people leadership or matrix leadership roles.
Proven project management experience.
Experience supporting manufacturing operations and/or shared services environments.
Exposure to business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., QlikView or similar).
Ability to contribute to the development of new financial concepts, standards, and best practices.
