Manager, Finance Business Partner, CSL Broadmeadows

We are looking for a Manager, Financial Business Partner to join the Finance team at Broadmeadows. Reporting to the Director, Finance Business Partner you will have a strong focus on establishing and supporting BMW non-plasma operations activities including production planning, forecasting, and budgeting, efficiency improvement and tracking of functional spending. 

The purpose of Manager, Finance Business Partner role is to partner with the functional leads at CSL Behring Broadmeadows(BMW) to provide reliable, timely and meaningful financial analysis and insights and guidance to support and drive business decisions. The role provides the financial performance analysis and reporting requirements of the CSL Group Finance team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Business Partner to BMW operations business functions with a focus on non-plasma operations

  • Contribute to the development of reporting, insights, and analytics to ultimately drive better decisions with an understanding of the financial impact of these decisions

  • Provide the business stakeholders with financial information regarding cost performance versus forecast and budget, with explanation of variances against identified key performance drivers, including additional narrative and input to manage and prevent issues and identify opportunities to improve business performance

  • Establish Product costing of non-plasma operations, collaborating with Product Cost Hub to ensure harmonization of processes, as well as with MDG and Planning

  • Manage the process for annual budgets and quarterly forecast updates managing cost center planning, costs, and financial evaluation of targeted operational improvement initiatives  

  • Control of inventory, strict review of provisions and write offs, understand stock in-transit, inter-company eliminations, and reduce cost of write-offs

  • Clearly define and review both ad-hoc and routine reporting and analytics to ensure it meets internal customers’ needs and is well understood

  • Support the improvement of existing financial systems, processes, and procedures, and liaise with other CSL operating sites to ensure consistency, standardization and sharing learning, innovation, and good practices

  • Support Federal and Victoria State Government Grants submission and Biosecurity audits including preparation of audits and streamlining the process to enable full use of agreed funds

Your Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline; MBA or other advanced degrees in related field desirable; Professional certification (CPA/CMA)

  • A minimum 5 years of Finance Experience with extensive Management Accounting experience within a manufacturing environment

  • Excellent business partnering skills with line managers, including effectively challenging, advising and supporting decision making while maintaining effective working relationships 

  • Experience with Lean methodology (Six Sigma)

  • Relevant experience gained in a multi-national organisation 

  • Proven experience facilitating and supporting divisional Managers in translating detailed financial analysis into practice at a departmental level

  • Proven ability to function effectively as part of a team and maintain discretion and confidentiality

  • Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders at varying levels within the organization

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective time management
