Cleveland Clinic’s Environmental Services Department is consistently among the highest-performing EVS teams in healthcare, and we’re looking to add an Environmental Services Manager to our team to create the comfortable and safe environment our patients have come to expect.  

A caregiver in this position works onsite, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm, with rotating weekend and holiday requirements. This role will be stationed throughout H & M Buildings as CC Main Campus.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Manage the technical and administrative functions of the assigned EVS function.  
  • Implement short- and long-term goals consistent with those of EVS and clinical units. 
  • Manage quality assurance and performance improvement activities within the assigned areas. 
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with all appropriate codes and standards.  
  • Provide direct supervision of assigned EVS team members. 
  • Ensure that all members have a performance management program. 
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are consistently applied throughout the program. 
  • Perform regular evaluation and mentoring of all team members. 
  • Assist with the development and implementation of programs for the professional growth of members in areas of responsibility, both technical and behavioral. 
  • Participate in the development of environmental services operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility. 
  • Increase efficiency and effectiveness of environmental services activities with a goal of decreasing expenses. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • A high school diploma or GED.  
  • Four years of hospitality or housekeeping experience including two years of management experience. A bachelor’s degree may substitute two years of management experience.  

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Healthcare experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
