Overview

The Manager Business Strategy – South LAC is responsible for shaping, driving, and executing strategic priorities across the South LAC region, with a deep hands-on focus on CHIPABOL cluster (Chile, Paraguay & Bolivia), and Peru.

Role
The role acts as a thought partner to senior regional and market leadership, translating strategy into actionable priorities, rigorous analytics, and disciplined execution.

This position leads to high impact strategic initiatives, supports executive decision making, and ensures alignment between regional strategy, country level priorities, and commercial execution.

Strategic Focus

• Lead country specific strategic assessments, including market structure analysis, competitive positioning, client concentration, and regulatory or ecosystem considerations.
• Support the identification and sizing of growth levers by market, including client segmentation, product penetration opportunities, partnerships, and ecosystem plays.
• Translate regional strategy into clear country level roadmaps, with defined initiatives, milestones, KPIs, and ownership.

Advanced Analytics and Insight Generation

• Oversee complex analytical workstreams, including market sizing, scenario analysis, and impact modeling to assess strategic options and tradeoffs.
• Ensure consistent use of quantitative rigor and structured problem solving across all strategic initiatives
• Guide the development of dashboards, scorecards, and performance tracking tools to monitor execution and outcomes at both regional and country levels

Execution, Governance & Follow Up

• Drive disciplined strategy execution, ensuring strategic initiatives move from analysis to action with clear accountability and follow through
• Establish and maintain governance rhythms (reviews, check ins, KPI tracking) to ensure progress against strategic priorities.
• Identify execution risks early and propose course correction actions to senior leadership.

Cross Functional & Senior Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner closely with Product, Finance, Commercial, and Country Management teams to ensure strategic alignment and integrated execution.
• Lead and mentor junior strategy resources, setting quality standards for analysis, storytelling, and executive engagement.
• Represent the South LAC strategy perspective in regional and cross regional forums as required.


Qualifications/Experience:

• 8+ years of progressive experience in business strategy, corporate strategy, management consulting, strategic planning, or equivalent roles within financial services, payments, fintech, or adjacent industries.
• Proven experience leading regional or multi country strategic initiatives
• Strong track record partnering with senior executives, providing structured strategic advice, executive level insights, and clear recommendations to inform decision making.
• Deep experience in data driven strategy development, including market analysis, competitive assessment, scenario modeling, and financial or commercial impact sizing.
• Hands on experience translating strategy into execution, including the definition of roadmaps, KPIs, scorecards, and governance mechanisms to ensure follow through and measurable outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally with Product, Finance, Commercial, and Country teams, aligning diverse stakeholders around shared strategic priorities.
• Strong understanding of payments, financial services, or digital ecosystems, including market structure, competitive dynamics, partnerships, and regulatory considerations in emerging markets.
• Exceptional executive communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex analysis into clear, concise narratives for senior audiences.
