Organizational Overview: Synchrony's Risk Team provides independent oversight of Synchrony’s risk-taking activities to ensure safety and soundness, meet regulatory and legal requirements, and manage risks to the risk-appetite of the Board. Risk is responsible for independently assessing, quantifying, and overseeing risks & providing effective challenge. Risk serves as Synchrony’s Second Line of Defense.
Overall, Risk Team oversees and manages the Risk Program to support the business in anticipating and addressing risks, issues and challenges. Results are consistent with the respective strategic uses and complying with related overall risk, risk testing policies, standards, procedures as well as regulations. Our Risk organization consists of 4 pillars: Compliance, Credit & Financial Risk, Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk. Each of the pillars play a vital role in managing Risk and supports the business in anticipating and addressing risks, issues, and challenges.
Enterprise Risk provides oversight on Synchrony-wide initiatives and projects and manages issues, risk assessment & reporting, risk monitoring activities, policy standards and procedure framework for governance documents.
Role Summary/Purpose:
In this individual contributor role you will be responsible for systems configuration and operational support for Enterprise Risk Governance and Compliance platform eGRC SAI 360 (formerly known as BWise). As an Agile team member, you will review user stories, understand business requirement, configure solution and participate in all Agile rituals.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements and design/configure solutions within the eGRC platform, including development of forms, dashboards, workflows, and automation.
Manage project delivery by coordinating tasks, tracking progress, resolving blockers, and ensuring timely implementation of platform modules and enhancements.
Provide technical guidance and oversight to ensure configurations align with architecture standards and best practices, including review of technical deliverables.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders—including analysts, product owners, QA, and leadership—to clarify requirements, communicate updates, and support smooth delivery.
Drive quality assurance, process improvements, compliance adherence, and governance throughout solution development and deployment.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree with 4+ Years of work experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance Solution Development & Design and in lieu of degree 6 years of work experience.
Strong experience in configuring and customizing eGRC platforms like SAI360 BWise, including workflow automation, dashboards, and scripting.
Proven ability to manage delivery timelines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Skilled in guiding technical teams on best practices, reviewing deliverables, and resolving issues to maintain quality and progress.
Understanding of risk, governance, and compliance requirements, with a focus on driving process efficiencies and automation within eGRC solutions.
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
Experience with agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence for managing eGRC projects and documentation.
Basic knowledge of Vue.js or similar frameworks for designing user interfaces.
Understanding of GraphQL for efficient data querying and integration.
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor's degree with 4+ Years of work experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance Solution Development & Design and in lieu of degree 6 years of work experience.
2+ years of experience working on SAI360 BWise or any other similar GRC platform like MetricStream/Archer/ServiceNow
1+ years of SQL and GRC experience
Work Timings: 02:00 to 11:00 PM IST
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
