NIE invites suitable applications for the position of Manager, Education Solutions and Communications with the Centre for Education Solutions and Engagement (ESE). ESE plays an integral role in spearheading NIE’s engagement with MOE, schools, industry partners and IHLs, developing scalable, collaborative education solutions, and translating industry practices and innovation into NIE and school contexts. This is a 3-year contract position.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualise pedagogical initiatives that strengthen NIE’s relationships with industry tech giants, the Ministry of Education (MOE), MOE schools, and leading local and international educational institutions.
- Conduct regular environmental scans to identify opportunities for collaborations in education solutions, which include pedagogical innovations and educational technology, while supporting joint projects and knowledge exchanges to enhance NIE’s visibility and impact.
- Implement initiatives that foster partnerships with industry leaders, MOE, MOE schools, and top-tier educational institutions locally and globally.
- Manage communications with external stakeholders and assess the effectiveness of collaborative efforts to ensure sustained growth and innovation.
- Oversee the end-to-end process of partnerships development for educational technology and innovations, from initial discussions to final execution.
- Conceptualise and organise initiatives to build on educational technology and innovations partnerships, such as academia-industry roundtable series, hackathons, symposiums and webinars in education technology topics, learning journeys, innovation challenges and partnership showcases.
- Work closely with the other units in the 2 Centres (ESE and IN-Learning) to translate industry prototypes and research into practical applications.
- Curate and produce high-quality content (e.g., website, newsletters) to showcase successful collaborations and pedagogical innovations.
- Monitor the progress of engagement initiatives, collect data and conduct analyses to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive external stakeholder database to facilitate efficient communication and long-term relationship building.
- Implement feedback loops with stakeholders to refine and enhance collaborative approaches and communication strategies.
Requirements
- A University Degree related to Education, Communications or related field preferred.
- At least 5+ years of work experience in stakeholder/ partnership engagement and programme management, preferably within education or technology environments.
- Experience in learning analytics and dashboards, and in the use of AI tools, is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience working with external stakeholders such as government agencies, industry partners, schools, higher education institutions, or international organisations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders confidently and professionally.
- Experience managing external communications, including producing or curating content for websites, newsletters, reports, or publicity materials.
- Experience organising and delivering events or engagement platforms such as roundtables, symposiums and webinars.
- Adaptive to changing needs and environment.
- Self-driven, organised, and able to work independently.
- Collaborative team player who works well across units and functions.
