What you’ll be doing 

The position will report to Sr. Manager, Paid Media and focus on Paid Media Marketing efforts to drive business returns for sales and marketing. The individual will facilitate training and be a subject matter expert for both the Paid Media team as well as stakeholders. The individual will manage Paid Media accounts with an immediate emphasis on Paid Search to drive sales opportunities, data-driven marketing campaigns, and actionable consumer insights that drive business decision-making. The individual will be responsible to run SEM campaigns, build Paid Media plan and strategy, develop tactics, execute, monitor and report on Paid Media campaigns.

This will also include providing high-quality customer service, monitoring and reporting on any on-site issues affecting user experience and campaign performance, monitoring in market performance and providing timely recommendations for improving campaign performance. The individual will also spearhead executions/recommendations on tactics, audiences, placements, pacing for campaigns, coordinating with partners for campaign launches, making projections and leveraging automated bid strategies in Search Ads 360.

How you’ll succeed 

  • Strategic Thinking Approach – Take a holistic view to all tasks! You drive, manage and execute Paid Search Campaigns for your assigned lines of business or CIBC. Working in partnership with all digital channels you will support business goals, objectives and KPIs. You have a keen ability to provide insights, recommendations and digital strategic direction based on CIBC’s vision, business needs and objectives (KPIs), industry trends, competitive landscape and metrics insights. You have the ability to pull metrics reporting and provide strategic insights to improve and enhance digital strategic programs for CIBC and the Business 
  • Team Player and Leadership – Act both Collaboratively and Autonomously. You will own and manage Paid Paid Media campaigns for your assigned portfolio of clients. You will support the digital marketing strategies as applicable but also work closely with other consultants and managers and any other cross functional CIBC teams to achieve successful execution. You can provide digital strategic consultation as necessary to the business, as well as other internal partners in addition to working closely with external vendors. 
  • Business Acumen and Relationship Building –  Forge strong relationships with CIBC’s various teams, by working with the business and internal partners, owning the end to end Paid Paid Media Campaigns to deliver against targets, with a strong understanding of the client needs and experiences across all channels . You are a great communicator, with the ability to synthesize paid Paid Media data & results, findings and recommendations, then package key messages to the appropriate audiences. You have a proven ability to partner, build confidence and influence key stakeholders in the organization and you’re a self-starter.

  • You can demonstrate experience in: Account Management, Financial Industry and/or Wealth knowledge. Proficient working knowledge/certification of: Google Analytics, Data Studio, SA360, Google Ads (Paid Media/Discovery/App Campaigns), Microsoft Ads. 
  • Intermediate knowledge and desire to learn other paid media areas including Paid Social (Meta, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Reddit, Snapchat, TikTok) & Programmatic (DV360, Yahoo, Simpli.fi, Amazon).
