What you'll do...

Position: Manager, Digital Media 

 

Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066 

 

Duties: Understand and support the development of Walmart's digital media strategy. Use large and complex data sets. Develop insights to suggest improvements to channel strategy that will differentiate Walmart in the marketplace. Participate in product development roadmap sessions. Utilize technical understanding of digital platforms' systems and structures to effectively guide campaign execution. Manage small-to-large sized digital campaigns, defining execution plans for campaign set-up, creation, deployment and assessment, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives. Evaluate and review campaign deployment actions in context of campaign performance. Collaborate with internal/external media and business/technology partners to ensure all campaign delivery plans are in line with overall brand strategy and objectives. Define key campaign metrics and review campaign performance data and calculate ROI of programs/initiatives. Assist with the development of creative concepts as well as briefs for small-to-large campaigns. Understand creative brief's messages and develop plan for incorporating messages within campaigns or initiatives in own channel. Perform assessments to review Digital Media process adherence. Ensure adherence to existing digital marketing processes, workflows, and systems. Provide input into and manage budget for current campaigns and reports on budget status updates to leadership. Collaborate with digital marketing teams and cross functional teams across the organization to implement and execute on small-to-large channel specific digital plans/campaigns. Review draft social media content daily and drives engagement on social media platforms. Maintain defined brand strategies and messaging through monitoring social media platforms; respond to escalations. Interact with external agencies, ensuring outcomes and deliverables are on time and consistent with project goals. Review performance reports and dashboards; identify opportunities for optimization. Support channel execution activity. Perform channel analysis in support of strategic agenda and initiatives. Develop internal and external processes in support of channel management. Partner with internal teams to communicate and support category and seasonal needs/asks. Maintain and grow current and new partnerships within the existing partnerships portfolio. Monitor the revenue sharing model and assists in negotiations with potential partners. Manage development and execution of briefs for small-to-large sized campaigns. Undertake research and analytics to establish and define target customer segments for specific categories for Director review; provide guidance and direction to less experienced team members on type of research and development of outcomes. Work with cross-functional teams to execute briefs; understand the communication strategy and the larger story around the category. Understand and begin to develop technical buildouts of campaigns. Establish reporting infrastructure and track/analyze campaign performance. This position does not supervise employees.  

 

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Marketing, Business, Management Information Systems, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Marketing, Business, Management Information Systems, or related field and 2 years of experience in marketing or related field. 

 

Skills required: Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns and stratergies. Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to execute and automate marketing campaigns and improve operational efficiencies using SQL or SAS and one of the following marketing automation tools: Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Acxiom Tools, Braze, or SAS Enterprise Guide. Experience managing, validating, and resolving data discrepancies, maintaining data hygiene for campaign execution, and extracting and manipulating data for business reporting using database concepts and UNIX scripting. Experience with Database Marketing and managing end-to-end campaign processes for campaigns, including one of the following: direct mail, email, lifecycle marketing, or digital marketing. Experience executing customer segment analysis to create targeted and personalized marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement. Experience conducting deep dive analysis of post campaign performance and developing custom reports, analyses, and dashboards for stakeholders. Experience with HTML programming to design and create effective, visually appealing email marketing campaigns. Experience executing campaign audits and providing recommendations for infrastructure, operating guidelines, procedures, audits, and business reporting. Experience working with stakeholders to understand business requirements, generate acceptance criteria, and perform data analysis to design campaigns accordingly. Experience with Project Management, including overseeing and managing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database marketing projects, ensuring timely completion, accuracy and effectiveness. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. 

 

Salary Range: $104,000/year to $202,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
