Intro Summary of the Role

The Content Operations & SEO Manager exists to ensure website content is published accurately, efficiently, and in a way that supports conversion, discoverability, and brand consistency across the eCommerce experience. This role owns day-to-day CMS operations, including page publishing, campaign execution, content maintenance, and on-site SEO content governance.

The role operates at a hands-on specialist/manager level, working cross-functionally with Digital team, Marketing and Campaign Management The role balances strategy and executional delivery with process ownership, quality control, and cross-functional coordination. It also provides secondary support for product content, taxonomy, and DAM activities to maintain team resilience and continuity.

Successful candidates must be able to work at strategic-level (generating innovative ideas) and at tactical level (analyzing data, solving problems).

What You Will Do

  • Own day-to-day website content operations in SAP Commerce Cloud SmartEdit, including creating, updating, scheduling, previewing, QA checking, and publishing all relevant website content including homepage, landing page, product category, application and campaign content.

  • Manage the content publishing calendar and ensures all website content changes are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with agreed commercial, new product introductions, brand, and customer priorities.

  • Maintain page content, content slots, banners, promotional messaging, and evergreen site content to keep the website current, relevant, and free from expired or incorrect material.

  • Lead on-site SEO content execution by optimizing page copy, category copy, metadata, headings, internal linking, and content structure to improve organic visibility and site findability.

  • Oversee SEO strategy with marketing to improve organic search performance and conversion optimization, utilizing Google Analytics, Search Console and additional digital marketing data points.  

  • Perform regular content hygiene and maintenance reviews to identify and resolve outdated pages, broken content journeys, duplicated messaging, missing metadata, and content quality issues.

  • Coordinate with ecommerce, merchandising, brand, and technical teams to ensure site content requirements are understood, prioritized, tested, and implemented effectively.

  • Establish and maintain content standards, publishing processes, QA checklists, and governance documentation to improve consistency, reduce errors, and support operational scalability.

  • Review website performance indicators, search trends, and content effectiveness to recommend practical improvements to customer journeys, landing pages, and SEO-driven content

  • Work with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand opportunities for improvement in the user experience. Interact with internal stakeholders and agencies to support SEO and conversion goals where required.  

  • Provide business input into CMS enhancements, technical SEO requirements, and workflow improvements to ensure platform capabilities support efficient content operations with expanded web team

  • Provide cross-functional cover and secondary operational support across PIM, product content, taxonomy, DAM, and SEO activities by assisting with product/category copy updates, asset usage checks, and launch readiness activities when required, to ensure continuity of service and delivery across the Website Content Team

What We Are Looking For

  • Master’s degree or higher.

  • 5-10 years of working experience in lifescience marketing, digital marketing or related area.

  • Experience in B2B marketing and with segmented digital marketing campaigns.

  • Experience within organic search optimization, social, email marketing, retargeting.

  • Understanding of marketing automation campaign execution; Marketo experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of digital marketing analytics (Google Analytics).

  • Experience in lifescience/Biotech business area
