Job Summary: You will serve as a MANAGER in the CYBERSECURITY & SOFTWARE ENGINEERING DIVISION, DIGITAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Port Hueneme, CA.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as a technical expert responsible for the design, development, test and evaluation, installation and certification of complex combat and weapon systems, leveraging a deep engineering and cyber security background.
  • You will analyze and investigate system architectures to identify and mitigate software, hardware, and network vulnerabilities while ensuring all work meets rigorous quality assurance standards.
  • You will manage the full employee life cycle, including selection and assignment, training and development, performance evaluations, incentive utilization, and constructive discipline.
  • You will provide critical assistance with Program Office Memorandum (POM) inputs, managing resource allocation, budget estimates, and overall financial execution.
  • You will demonstrate extensive professional experience managing a multidisciplinary organization, with a specialized focus on the Authorization and Assessment branch functions and the oversight of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
  • You will lead a complex Software Support Activity (SSA) and provide In-Service Engineering (ISE), test, and evaluation for Navy ship classes and weapon systems.

Qualifications: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-4 (GS-12/13 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer or scientist providing technical and project management oversight, to include leveraging cyber security and engineering principles, for the modernization and test and evaluation of combat, weapons, and missile systems on surface ships.
