Job Summary: You will serve as a MANAGER in the NAVAL ARCHITECTURE AND ENGR DEPT (C/80), SHIP AND SUBMARINE ENGR DIV (C/81), ACQUISITION PROGRAMS BRANCH (C/813) of CARDEROCK DIV NS.

Major Duties:

  • You will provide technical guidance and financial management while developing strategic plans for the In-Service Engineering and Assessments Branch.
  • You will maintain effective relationships with sponsors to translate requirements into actionable task plans, cost estimates, and statements of work.
  • You will develop and review technical reports and scientific papers for upper management and brief senior leadership on strategic objective progress.
  • You will actively participate as a technical member of the branch’s workforce while ensuring all engineering and analytical tasks meet mission standards.
  • You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle by developing advertisements, interviewing candidates, and selecting personnel for branch positions.
  • You will coordinate mentorship efforts and create individual development plans, including brokering rotational opportunities, to promote professional growth.
  • You will set performance expectations, recommend awards, and execute disciplinary actions to ensure the branch staff is positioned for mission success.

Qualifications: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional ENGINEER OR SCIENTIST: providing leadership and technical expertise in supporting fleet cyber damage assessments.
