The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.


We are currently seeking a Deal Manager to join our Content Licensing team based in our New York, NY office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the Global Content Licensing Team to document agreed deal terms in Sales Force and circulate term sheets to internal stakeholders.
  • Double check rights being negotiated are fully available prior to internal deal submission.
  • Liaise with finance on necessary ROI-based deal approvals.
  • Support Legal Team in the execution of contracts and communicate deal status and timelines to all parties.
  • Loop in and liaise with technical team to confirm delivery specifications required/available, and language assets where appropriate.
  • Oversee the creation of weekly senior leadership status reports (leads, status, etc.)
  • Liaise with finance to ensure accurate revenue recognition and accounting for invoicing, collection, etc.
  • Work with Rights Management Team to document deal in necessary internal systems.
  • Run rights availability reports upon request on behalf of members of the licensing team.
  • Chair weekly meetings between the legal and sales teams and manage the internal tracker record all progress updates on individual deals at contract and in negotiation.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience in content sales, distribution or legal role. Passion for television and film is a strong plus.
  • Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of entertainment industry rights, and both existing and emerging business models (broadcast TV, SVOD, AVOD, FAST, etc.)
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities and impartially communicate progress to various interested parties.
  • Strong understanding and appreciation for the technical aspects needed to do holistic deals; proven ability to delve into new subject matters and quickly assimilate new levels of understanding.
  • Exceptional work ethic – ability to work long and flexible hours when required.
  • Track record and reputation for conducting business with the highest standards of integrity and ethics.
  • Ability to travel when required, particularly for sales meetings, content markets, industry trade shows/events and, if applicable, to AMC Networks office locations.

The base compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000 commensurate with experience.
