Eventbrite operates one of the world’s largest data ecosystems for live events, supporting millions of events and hundreds of millions of transactions annually across 170+ countries. The Data Platform Engineering team’s mission is to build the foundational infrastructure, tooling, and data services that enable high-quality analytics, operational decision-making, ML workloads, and real-time event processing at scale.
We are seeking a technical manager who can elevate the Data Platform function, strengthen cross-organizational alignment, and lead the evolution of Eventbrite’s real-time and batch data capabilities—including next-generation streaming, cost-efficient warehousing, metadata governance, and AI-augmented tooling.
The Data Platform Engineering team sits at the core of the Data Organization and partners closely with Analytics Engineering, Data Science, Product Analytics and cross-functional engineering teams. Our mandate spans all layers of the platform: ingestion, transformations, streaming services, data quality, metadata and lineage, reliability, and cost efficiency.
We empower diverse user personas—from data scientists to business analysts to ML engineers—by delivering secure, scalable, and discoverable data products. Our team thrives on solving complex platform challenges through collaboration, shared learning, and engineering excellence.
