Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborates with IRN co-directors and research personnel to identify data needs, conducts exploratory data analysis and appropriate statistical models, develops dashboards and reports.
Works closely with Director and contributes significantly to the development of analytics and data strategy.
Provides statistical consultation to faculty and staff researchers including data sourcing, model selection, feedback on research aims and funding proposal review.
Reviews, manages, and analyzes data from various sources (primary and secondary data, interviews, focus groups, websites, publications, etc.), identifies trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
Ensures data accuracy, integrity, and security by implementing best practices, automated data quality testing, and data governance policies.
Provides leadership for data infrastructure/analytics initiatives.
Selects, configures and implements analytics solutions for the organization.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance data analytics capabilities.
Designs, builds and maintains critical data infrastructure responding to the needs of the school and its researchers.
Leverages existing University data infrastructure to capture, store and serve data to various constituents and researchers within the school.
Shares industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data analytics.
Develops budgets for unit activity and long-term planning.
Provides recommendations and strategy support to the Director.
Supervises research staff, students, and contract workers as needed to support team expansion and growth over time.
Supports the Office of Research Affairs and IRNs by contributing to funding proposals, reports, presentations, manuscripts, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.
