What you’ll be doing

In Customer & Commercial (C&C), we put customers at the heart of every decision, championing their voice while driving sustainable growth for the business. From everyday needs to life’s big moments, we design strategies and propositions that help customers feel confident and in control of their money.

This role sits within the Consumer Relationships business, in the Customer & Commercial team, focusing on consumer segment strategy and commercialisation. The team is responsible for setting the consumer segment growth strategy, working across the Group to shape core strategic ambitions by sizing opportunities, setting prioritisation frameworks and connecting insight across business areas.

As a Manager, you’ll contribute to the delivery of consumer segment strategy, supporting strategic reviews and acting as a subject matter expert. You’ll analyse internal performance data, market trends and competitor insight to develop structured recommendations, clear narratives and compelling storytelling for senior leaders.

You’ll work closely with product, proposition, platform and business performance partners to ensure strategies are commercially robust, data led and actionable, helping translate strategic ambition into prioritised plans and investment decisions.

This role will play a central part in shaping Lloyds Banking Group’s next phase of strategy, contributing to the development of the strategic roadmap towards 2030+, and helping ensure customer and commercial outcomes remain tightly aligned.

Why join us?

You’ll be working at the heart of one of the Group’s most strategically important areas, influencing how we grow, invest and serve customers at scale. The role offers high visibility, senior partners and colleagues exposure and the opportunity to shape both customer strategy and commercial outcomes across the consumer business.

This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, connecting data to strategy, and turning insight into action.

What we’re looking for

Essential experience and capabilities

  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial strategy, business performance, finance, consulting or a similar analytical role

  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing or influencing a P&L, budgets or large investment decisions

  • Experience developing business cases and supporting investment prioritisation

  • Strong communication, collaboration and influence skills, with the ability to challenge, and build consensus at senior levels

  • Experience shaping segment or proposition strategy

  • Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, compelling narratives for Executive or Board level audiences

And any experience of these would be great

  • Background in financial services, consumer businesses or regulated environments

  • Data literacy, with hands-on experience using tools such as Tableau, Power BI or equivalent to drive insight

  • Proven experience in commercial tracking, forecasting and financial planning, including multiyear outlooks

We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds. Whilst this job advert may reference specific years of experience, we recognise that skills are developed in many ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.

This is a place for you
