Location: The selected candidate needs to be located in North Carolina or willing to relocate.

Summary:

The customer development manager will manage the day to day activities for a portfolio of brands and customer Private Label products. This position will collaboratively develop and execute an annual business plan that delivers volume, sales, and profit targets while maximizing approved trade funding. The right individual will develop a deep understanding of the customer to align needs and achieve sustained long term growth. This role requires you navigate the customer network including category managers, analysts, and buyers who oversee all facets of the assigned categories. Internally, this position works cross functionally the Director of Sales, Customer Insights, Customer Service, Business Operations, Sales Strategy & Planning, Shopper Marketing and Tyson Business Units.

 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintaining and building best in class customer relationships with existing customer base, primarily within Tyson's frozen prepared categories
  • Own and lead development of strategic and tactical business planning activities with the customer, ensuring achievement of annual operating plan and execution of category tactics: distribution, shelving, merchandising, pricing, and activation
  • Responsible for creating a customer-specific merchandising plan that meets key performance indicators and accurately forecasting the business needs
  • Coordinates with customer service on supply chain and procurement opportunities
  • Leverage internal resources to strengthen customer relationships through category reviews, new item presentations, and top to top presentations

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5 years sales experience; knowledge of consumer product goods and/or meat and seafood is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Computer Skills: Experienced with Microsoft Office and familiarity with PowerBI and Salesforce
  • Special Skills: Strategic planning, negotiation, leadership, and conflict resolution experience is preferred.
  • Travel: 8 plus trips per year, depending on location

$114,000.00 - $192,000.00
